It really doesn't. I've never had many friends so I usually go out with him and spend time with him and his friends so I'm always that "hey look it's a cameo" guy who gets asked 5 billion awkward questions and hear inside jokes that i have no idea are about

Indeed! The liberation so far has been exciting to experience. It is difficult to not be next to someone you spent every single day with for 25 whole years, since we were born. We've never been apart for more than 2 weeks and now we live 2600 miles apart and I'll see him maybe a handful a days three times a year. Feels rough.

Thing is, i dont really want one, it will just highlight for me that my family isnt there, which will make it a really sucky day. I think im going to go with just telling people that there isnt going to be a party when they ask. Nice and simple
