I hope there is a digital download version. Living out in the boonies means I need to travel a fair bit to get to a games store.

I watched an assdancer video last night and they seem pretty fun to level.

There's even a digital collector edition with a <censored>load of ingame stuff (like a free mount at level 20).

"ou don't have to go justicar for melee healing
You can go Shaman for melee, then add a 'pure' healing soul (Sentinal, Purifier, or Warden)
The druid is also very good melee "

I know what your saying, but it just isn't quite the same
I REALLY like the talents that are basically sending out aoe heals as you melee. If I went Shaman/Druid/Warden (as an example) I'd just end up being a weak hitting meleer with a limited amount of healing abilities heh. Justicar isn't bad, but it is so Tank skill heavy that if you are deep in it people are expecting you to tank.

Rift really shows a high level of polish, something other MMOs to date didn't really bothered with. Very high potential IMO.

As for me, I'll probably be going Chloromancer/Warlock/(Elementalist just for the taunt pet). Or maybe an Inquisitor/Cabalist/Sentinel Cleric. OR I'll try to tank on a Riftstalker Rogue? I really don't know yet, they all sound like so much fun

Edit:
As for the Justicar's melee healing... unless you're just off-healing I wouldn't bother with it. Due to the Justicar being one of the few "hybrid" souls (tank as well as healer), talents and abilities are spread between healer and tank. Currently, Justicars are subpar at being both, but at least they're better tanks than healers. I've wanted to make a melee healer myself, but the Justicar - as fun as it was to play - just doesn't meet the throughput and utility requirements to be a main healer.

Same, I'm trying to decide what class I want to play. I thought about stepping into more of a healing roll, but the mage/dps main spec in me always speaks out from within. So maybe a necromancer or elementalist for me.

I've got several variations on a Justicar build which avoid pretty much all the "tank" talents. I do take the flat -% damage talent, but then I play on a PvP server and intended to get that anyway.

The real problem of the Justicar isn't even with the tank talents. It's the overall lack of healing utility in the soul.

You get:
- Doctrine of Righteousness (your main heal)
- Doctrine of Bliss (when you get hurt)
- that group Doctrine, for when anyone else gets hurt
- Salvation, which has worse HPS than even the worst HoT out there. In my Druid off-spec, the (untalented) Faerie would heal for around double the amount on her HoT. And we're talking about a fully talented Salvation in Mien of Honour stance.
- Later on you will get Reprieve, which admittedly heals for a lot, but... 5 minute cooldown? Come on...

Now, if you're doing dungeons, the Justicar works just fine, if the tank receives continuous mediocre damage. You'll have a breeze healing that away, but then again, so does everyone. If the tank receives either massive burst OR continuous high damage, you will not be able to keep up with it due to the nature of Doctrines. You build up Convictions, you release Convictions to heal. But if you have to use 2 DoRs for every melee hit you get in, you'll run out of Convictions and the tank will run out of HP before you can get another Conviction up. Likewise, if the tank is hit by a huge burst, you do not have the means to quickly heal it.

Both Doctrines and Salvation healing need to be looked at for their HPS. Especially the latter. Maybe introduce a mid-tier talent to give Doctrines a chance to not use Convictions (like Blizzard did with Word of Glory)? Or bump up the transferred healing to the Righteous Mandate from Salvation by 100%. As is now, the Justicar healer needs a bit of work done to make him viable as a main healer.

Edit:
Eh, massive rant, sorry... but was really looking forward to playing a Justicar healer and was more than a bit disappointed haha
