Did they touch anything other than gather bots?
If finally they took a stand against BG botters (yeah who am I kidding) I'd be mildly interested.

Well, I am willing to bet that the people who use gather bots also use other bots. I am seeing on arena junkies some banned gladiators. (What!? Gladiators cheat? *shocked face*)

It must have been a bot that Blizz could actually detect... I read that it involved a speed hack to get to the sites quicker so that seems easily detected. And I am pretty sure peoples first bot wasn't an archeology bot. I am hoping we see wide spread repercussions.

It is amazing the amount of excuses I see for cheating. I have seen it for over 10 years. Every last one of them acts like this was unfair and it was an honest mistake. I expect we will be seeing the same lame posts again 10 years from now.

Im not justifying botting at all but - if something in your game is so boring or tedious that a player uses a bot, then they need to look at changing the mechanics of that "something".

I hope it was mostly the "gatherers" that had been porting around gathering from underneath the nodes. those guys really pissed me off and i'd always report them if i could, a few of them i killed because they'd be lower levels in higher areas and i could target the and hit them with a couple dots.
anyways, good to finally hear about it.
