I think it was one way they could be absolutely sure that a player had to suffer through several things that they did not like in order to complete this hair-brained quest.

That's probably true. I understand, to a point, wanting to make it difficult for players or making them "suffer through several things that they did not like in order to complete this hair-brained quest." But what I don't understand or agree with is forcing others who don't even WANT the achievement to suffer with the person trying to get the achievement. I like achievement farming as much as the next guy but stuff like this, I refuse to do. Make the achievement as long, difficult, or pain filled as you want. As long as I can do it on my own time without affecting/interfering with other people playing the game.

Oh, this guy was just the latest example, fresh off the battlefield. Sadly, not at all a unique experience. And believe me, I do totally understand that the normal PvP players probably hate the "achievment whores" being in there. But be mad at Blizzard, don't take it out on your fellow gamer. The fact that so many do, is what I mean about the community being noting like the good old days.


Oh well, done is done. I left 2 toons with 2 BG tasks short of thie Strange, Long Journey achievment. But I did end up with 6 toons total who have it. For that, I should probably be committed.
