Yep, true enough, and I freely admit I am having a Sybil like experience in my head, oscillating between "don't care!" and "but...but... all that work! and I might be back, and what a shame to have not got this done if I do".

So far, I'm zero for about 50 attempts on this. Haven't given up yet, there is all day tomorrow. But looking iffy for finishing all 4. Not looking that great for finishing 1 toon even. AV is just ridiculous trying to assault a tower...

Yah, if you are not a pally or a dk with the mount speed increase, it boils down to being in the right place at the right time.

One down, three to go. One toon just needs WG return the flag... which is proving interesting, seems to be nothing but well organized and incredibly geared pre-made horde groups, getting rolled all over the lawn. But at least I only need AV on 2 more toons...

After this, if I even finish these, I am done with this game. At least for a long while, if not permanently. After taking a couple of months off for Rift, I am just saddened to see the state it is in when I do log in to play. Buggy as hell, they can't seem to do anything except think of ever more ways to F@#$ up the skills/talents every week. I can't even begin to keep up anymore, with all the changes they feel the need to make on a constant basis. Everything they touch turns to crap. I got magically "teleported" to other parts of the city or zone 3 times today (just standing there, then all of a sudden in a loading screen, and I show up somewhere else).

Add to that the complete frustration of trying to assault a tower in AV, which I remember very well from last year on my other 4 toons. I end up hating my fellow man, loathing Blizzard more with every minute I spend trying to complete these forced BG activities for their world events. The capture the flag and return a flag etc. are not as bad, but AV is just a riduculous one to put in as a required thing for a world event meta. But that's more of Blizzard, they think they have a PvP game (joke's still on them) and insist that everyone feel that way, or no cookie for you!

YEs, I realize I am venting... and nobody cares (especially Blizzard who of course doesn't read these anyway). Tell me to QQ I really don't care. Callme a nub, call me whatever you want. I'm sure I am not the only one who is frustrated beyond words with the stat this game is in, and this "holiday" crap is just the nail in the coffin. This game is dead, and there may be 12 million people living in denail still playing it.. but it is dead, Blizzard knows and has moved anyone worth paying more than minimum wage, off to other things.

I'm finding a lot of things refreshing about Rift, but the biggest one is the attitude of Trion... a company that cares and tries to connect with their customers and listens to them, doesn't just piss them off and laugh that they got mad. Blizzard used to be one of the top names in games, but for me, they jumped the shark 4 years ago. Rift may be a clone, but it does all the right things well, and most of the @$@$ that Blizzrd does wrong, Trion does right too.

I gotta say, people like Thqr from Frostmourne, in the WG BG I was just in, are the exact reason this game has gone to hell, community wise. There were 5 of us who said we needed to return a flag. HE "needed to return 7". ...um.. huh? Oh, For his "return 50" achievment. He did nothing but stick close to the flag and grab it before anyone else could, and laugh at people getting upset. Explaining that we had ONE day left and he could do that other days meant nothing. He just told everyone to click faster. And that he was doing nothing wrong. Yep, he was right. I need to click faster, not try to actually do any of the fighting, just hover around and click super fast. And he was well within the rules of the game to take as many as he could. But every damn F@#$@!#$ year it's the same thing, people doing whatever they can to prevent others, or at the least, not willing to do any small thing to help others, that shows me how the MMO community of today will never, ever be what it once was. The world is mostly full of selfish asses who would sell their mother for their next 6-pack. Probably tomorrow, on Mother's day even.

Remember when MMO meant a massive amount of other people all having fun together, playing a game they all like? Being social, helping each other, actually communicating when they got into a group? Sadly, though most of you do (most of us go back to the AC or EQ days), the majority of MMO players nowadays don't. They are the twitch gen who don't give a rats ass about anyone else. Makes me sad.

Yep, I'm a bit frustrated today

You need to go to the mmorpgs that aren't chasing the mass market but rather the niche ones. Games like WoW are not for gamers anymore.
