It will be a disaster, just reading that seems like they are already planning to screw up talents.
This.
This stuff overall just sounds retarded.
I agree, not liking anything I see, with I think with them losing Subs hand over fist they are going after a younger crowd, this is World of Warcraft meets World of Disneycraft.
Ghostcrawler has to be the laziest piece of crap on the planet, from the release of BC on it has been about what is easiest for him to hell with the game and the player. This new talent thing is centered around making it easier him and easier for the younger crowd they are trying to attract, not to mention one huge step closer to consolization.

This. If I remember right Pandaren were introduced in the Frozen Throne expansion of Warcraft III, which came out around 2004, when they introduced the character Chen Stormstout who helped Rexxar. Chen wasn't even the only pandaren in the game. Then you have Kung-fu Panda, which came out in what, 2008? 2009?
Frozen Throne - 2003.
Kung-Fu Panda - 2008.
Blizzard wins with a 5 year advantage

More of " ou WILL play our way or not at all". More stupid people will enjoy the game, more gamers will not.
Seems you have probably outgrown this game anyway.
Also seems Blizz are borrowing stuff from other games so they are adapting and taking on the competition.
At the end of the day subs are what make a successful game not what you or I think.

Kung Fu Panda, lol. Are they really trying to put a stake in WoW's heart?

Uh duh? Even at this point I have a hard time believing the developers are so incredibly obtuse. That means they are purposely killing the game.
And while Warcraft had Panderans first these are ALL out of Kung Fu Panda, stupid. Where's the creativity?

It is nice to see Blizzard add in a feature from LOTRO, PVE Scenario's equals Skirmishes. Of course, I think many of these features coming out with the Panderan expansion are included in the wrong expansion. It is one expansion too little too late. Since Cataclsym and the reshaping of Azeroth was basically a redesign of the game, making it WoW 2 in essence, I seriously think that it would have been better for Blizzard to delay Cataclysm and include many of the features that are being brought forth in this expansion.
Only time will tell if this expansion will helps retain subs and bring subs back after the disaster of Cata. Especially in the end with other big games coming in ToR this year and GW 2 sometime next year, when GW 2 releases will also have a big impact.
Personally I myself will most likely buy the expansion at some point in time even if it is just to experience the new zones and the like for one month.

Well, LOTRO skirmishes become boring pretty fast. And the rewards are completely crappy.
Blizzard can only do better there, doing worse will be hard.

Way to miss the point as always, the simple fact that they are adding another avenue FINALLY for players to spend their time in game is what matters and also to break up the grind that is questing. I know I enjoy popping in and doing a few skirmishes in LOTRO to break up the level questing grind. Also like LOTRO which eventually made it so that all gear is purchased with Skirmish points, and other marks at times, so WoW is making it as another way to get conquest points. Also I know more people who spend time in Skrimishes for purposes of Weapon Leveling and getting items to improve their Legendary Items more so than the gear, or to get crafting items like shards, flakes, and bulk crafting recipes. So way to ignore all the other benefits that Skirmishes give and just focus on the gear aspect.
I have stated time and time again when bringing up the LOTRO skirmish system that the one matter that sucks with it is the gear that is obtained. Yet, that one bad doesn't outweigh the good. Also of course Skirmishes can get boring if that is all you doing, just like PVP, Raiding, Dungeon running and quests can get boring if that is all you doing. This is just another way to break up the grind in one area and is much needed.
