How does going from 51 to 31 to 6 add depth?

Just a quick lesson in math, 51 is greater than 31 which is greater than 6.

Since Wrath, when you play MoP, you will have lost 45 talent choices.

That is not adding depth.

You're kind of pretending like specs aren't there still. Also, a choice between 3 overpowered abilities is better than choosing between 5% of this, or 3% of that to me. Just looking at the first 15 levels...

However, you also took me out of context, and in other threads I've since clarified; they need to add spec trees that still do the 5% of this or 3% of that back in.

Really though, I'd just prefer the old WoTLK way.

Edit: Still, I can see how this could quickly be superior to what they have now.

My original statement was perhaps hasty and overly optimistic. I can't see them doing the system as it is without hearing an earful though, and in some ways I can see how it could provide a greater choice over the old system when combined with class as well as spec abilities. An extra choice between 3 well built abilities at 6 different intervals along with class and spec intrigues me a bit, anyway. YMMV.

It's not like there are 51, 31, or even 6 abilities to choose from in any one tree in the current system though, AFAIK. And I'm pretty sure you can't get far enough in two trees currently for that to matter.
