I used Win2k over 98/98SE/ME at the time. It was the first version of NT to have true DX 3D, Windows NT 4.0 had some of the lower versions, but you could run games in Win2k. The drivers out of the gate were sparse, but it got up to speed after a year or so. Windows XP was better and I believe they could share drivers, similar to Vista/Win 7.

IMHO, Windows 7 is the best product MS has ever made.

Aside from changing from text base dos to GUI with 3.1, I agree. 7 is very smooth.

Probably very few people that game but you will still find it on older business machines. With computerized industrial equipment you will still find DOS.

Nope. If you have ever used a tablet, OneNote 2010 is the best product from Redmond, especially if you tie it with the rest of Office. If Microsoft and the manufacturers had been a bit smarter about marketing tablet systems ( think convertables ) Ipad would not be what it is today with business and students.

Do you play WOW on your tablet?

I didn't think so.

Indeed. Context matters.

Ummm..you'd be incorrect, sir. My old Asus R1F plays WoW just fine. It's not something you'd want to do even occasionally, but back in my addicted days I did use it.
