WAR didn't let us Beta the end game, that should have been a red flag for me but it wasn't. So far I'm enjoying Aion, great graphics that run smooth even when there are a metric ton of other people around. The environment so far feels fresh, and I haven't killed one rat.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. D'you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling.

Edit: I guess I should read the thread completely before asking a question.

I have a few characters on Elyos,Triniel. Kitz, Kitzy, and Niku. If anyone needs a chanter, sorc, or cleric - send me a tell.

Right now theres a lot of lvl 25-30 pvp happening in the Abyss... in 3-4 months the curve is going to be all 40-50's in the Abyss so the grind will be worse to hit the entry level to pvp.

Yeah I know, but really it's already too late. By the time I could level to 25-30 those players who are 25-30 will be 40+ anyway. I am assuming that like DAOC that they will add some kind of BGs later on to provide a place for lower levels to PvP where they don't always get crushed by people 20 levels higher. I'm content to continue zerg surfing in DAOC for the rest of the year and see what people say about Aion when they've been playing it at level 50 for a few months before I commit to grinding in it.

Rifts = low level pvp. It's Mordred style, you just wouldn't be able to participate in the main frontier style pvp later on I imagine.

I returned to DAOC... I had to.. I started to post some sales on random sites and mine and sold my entire reserve in less then 2 days. I am amazed how DAOC accounts are selling... I'm clueless as to why... It's just that I Don't need multiple accounts no more with everything clustered and people are just taking em left and right. I've sold more accounts in the last 48 hours than I have in the last year and sold almost all my reserve plat that I had. I honestly thought this game was dead, but it's like WoW trade channel with all the plat sales spam now etc (A tactic I have never ever done btw). I will admit, I am amazed at how many old schoolers returned and I saw last night. I imagine i'll be sticking to WoW and DAOC for quite some time, though please continue with the updates on AION. I am especially interested in how to PL, quickest way to level, and what the going rate for chars are once maxed.

<sigh> I guess I will download this through Steam next week sometime. Maybe in two weeks once my 20 yr highschool reunion is done.

Nothing says depressing class reunion like starting a new MMORPG.

Bored with evony - so is this game really any good? How much of a terrible time sink?

It's fun, I'm enjoying it, but I can tell it's going to be a time sink. I'm only in my early 20s and it's taking me about a day/level (this is still low level). I can only imagine what 40-50 is going to be like! I suspect it will be a level every 2-6 days depending on how many hours you sink into it.

Yah it's fun but a serious time investment. I'm nowhere near a powergamer anymore so I can see it taking 4-5 months to hit 50 at casual play (24 at the moment, which is probably 1/8th of the way to 50 as far as hours /played heh)

Ugh. That definitely makes me want to wait and be sure the end game is worth all that pveing. Plus I'm sure they'll add more quests and do other stuff that will make pve not as harsh as time goes on.
