So what server did you all finally pick? Blackthornes all rolled on some server with 120 people but not sure what it is. My guildies all in love with and playing Darkfall. I'm still subscribed in WAR but I merged guild with and other as we were down to 10 players and from those just Oogee and me from original rolls way back when. I'm thinking of taking a wait and see with Aion also but on the flip side games are best the first few months anyways. So maybe I'll go now. On the fence.

Last I heard, Skala wanted people to reserve their names on 2 servers, I'm not really sure why. "Server Selection Create 1 on Zikel and 1 on Triniel "

I'm playing Rock Band: Beatles until it all shakes out, and a little be of reactivated LotRO. Darkfall does kind of intrigue me, I just don't think I can spend enough time with it to be useful. Everyone says Aion is fun, but I don't know.

This soon after WAR, I'm not ready to pve in a new MMO for a month or two to reach the level cap only to find out the end game sucks. I'll be interested in hearing ex-DAOCers' reviews of Aion after they've been RvRing at level 50 in it for a few months.

Pretty fun little game, obviously I'm not far enough to make any final opinions. $50 for a month of play on any game is worth it to me, and I (should) have plenty of free time in the coming months to start up a grindey MMO.

I'm literally playing by myself (although Nalyien is downloading it this afternoon to play with me) so if anyone is interested in leveling with us there is plenty of time to catch up to me, I'm still a newb.

There are a lot of features I really dig - the private stores are awesome for getting cheap armor/weapons at quest hubs (many players go 1/2 of the suggested price, it's still more than selling to a merchant, but allows people to get gear for their class). The short cutscenes for quests are very welcomed.

It really feels like a very very polished MMO (as it should be, its been out in Korea for what, 6 months? a year?), with features hand picked from every MMO - DAoC, EQ, WoW, AoC, WAR....

Chooch, if you're actually going to play, I'd be down for giving it a go Although I'd probably only be able to put in 3-4 hours a day at the most from like 8-12 est

I can't promise I'll make it to the endgame or play for 6 months but I'm gunna at least give it a couple month whirl. I'm playing a chanter (think Friar in DAoC - buffer, small/medium heals, medium dps) and Naly is playing a Sorc (cross between WAR sorc and WoW mage - dps, blink, portals etc).

IM me later (same as VN username) on if you grab it. It's on Steam, but I just grabbed it at BestBuy.

And yeah, I don't have many hours to play per night either. But like WAR I'll prolly eventually hit endgame... you beat me there by weeks heh.

Oh and the one thing I'm hearing that I actually -like- that some people I know are getting cranky about - in the high 20's the focus starts to shift to group quest/grind instead of solo questing. Hated solo questing nonstop in WAR/WoW.
