Honest to goodness, I remember every last word of this conversation. 6 years later, I still remember what the friggin' porch looked like. She had a pink blouse on, and a white skirt. And leather sandals. And little gold ring pierced earrings. And straight blonde hair, collar length, pulled back behind her ears. To this day I remember every microsecond of the roughly 1 minute and 22 seconds I spent on her doorstep.
Just 1 minute and 22 seconds? But it seems like an eternity already! You say. Yes my friends. This wasn't just an Emily Moment. This was an EmilEternity. Continuous Emily Time. Few people have actually survived even 10 seconds in Emily Space. How I survived 8 times that long is a true scientific mystery. But then again, we have so little understanding of dimensions above the 5th or 6th, and she seems to operate in numbers 13 through 18.
It was truly dizzying. Only the fact that I maintained an utterly amazed attitude at her audacity allowed me the ability to remain afloat.

Escalation. I made it personal. The ball was in her court now. Without getting really dirty, I was out of trump cards in my sleeve. If she upped the ante, things could get ugly.
"Ok, well just a kiss on the cheek then."

ok I have refrained from responding Pod... but i have to now
1) i post a link to this thread to my monarchys message board.
2) my boss now hates me for introducing this thread to her....
3) im not getting ANY work done....
4) my refresh button is getting worn out...
5) i even read OUTLOUD this entire post.. from page 1 to someone and got them hooked!
