Some people get so emotionally invested in these games that when they get disappointed, they just don't take it well at all. Sad but we see it every single MMO release.
I get emotionally invested in my money.

The game "takes off" at level 1, but you just don't get all your key class abilities handed to you at level 10. They come progressively.

SWTOR: 50 Jedi Shadow (Tank), 50 Sith Marauder (Annihilation).
LOTRO: Lifetime account, playing very casually.
WoW: Both accounts canceled for now.
GW2: Future Warrior.

I honestly can't get enough of it.
This coming from someone that did not last more than a couple of weeks in other recent MMO titles (like Rift).
I keep up with the main story and PVP my brains out. I am interested to see how Ilum (pvp world) evolves when there are lots of level 50 chars.

It took me 3 hrs to realize there was a bottom tab on the trainer to train my advanced class skills. A friend got in to the mid 20's as a marauder using only the base class skills as well. He was 25 or so before he(we/all) realized the tab at the bottom of the trainer menu. It was poorly documented, if at all, where we could train so it was quite numbing for a bit there. I still can't believe he made it in to the mid 20's as a marauder without any AC skills =D Soon as he got them, we didn't hear complaints any more about quests being hard as hell =D

I forget what game this recently happened to me in. It was either Rift or Aion. My friend and I had the same problem, we got to around level 15 or 20 and were thinking man that is getting rough. Then I realized that you needed to buy ranks of skills. Went from barely killing things to destroying lots of higher levels at once (think it was rift).
Then they nerfed the abilities I was using just to level up and it became sad. Sadly I never got to max level in either game because friends stopped playing as with all MMO's lately. Sadly those were really good I just think with people having kids it gets too hard to play together when you are in different time zones .
Edit: I was actually a bit sad when we stopped playing Rift, that was the most fun in an MMO I'd had in awhile. Can't remember what level I got to, I know it wasn't max level.

Good so far, only.level. 5. Bad server disconnects, which is code 9000 or something. Can't say its better than WoW as I am only level 5, the entry areas aren't as immersive to me as the entry level for WoW. Can hold more enemies at on time than WoW at an earlier level, but the zones don't seem as alive as WoW, in that there seems to be useless space with no NPCs around. I need a new computer to play with better gfx, as my current laptop is minimum spec at best.
Biggest complaint is the server disconnects at this time.....every 5 to 20 mins.

The server disconnects seem to only happen on very heavy and full servers.

^^^ respectfully disagree.
I played this morning (EST) around 9am and the server had no load at all. I was still disconnecting randomly every 5-20 minutes.

It's difficult to judge technical performance when you don't have a computer that is capable of playing the game.
