McCain got more votes because of Palin than he would have without her.

The majority of the people trashing Palin wouldn't have been voting for McCain anyway.

Mccain/Palin was a strong ticket(especially since no one knew Palin then) but the problem was that the public became Republican weary from 8 years of Bush, and Obama has rockstar momentum. Repubs would have lost no matter what they put up.

I would have voted for McCain right up until he embraced the crazy (GWB), took on a conservative agenda, switched his stance on torture, and basically gave up everything he believed in to try and get elected.

The historical amnesia here is amazing. McCain was losing by 10 points in polls until he named Palin, and then suddenly he was winning by 5 points.

I remember making a thread here the day she made her speech at the convention. I thought she was a total moron and an embarassment. Literally almost every single person here was flaming me for it.

It was a lot like the Iraq war. Almost everyone on the Outpost was for Palin before they were against her.

Palin earned the highest approval rating in the country of any governor. Her high approval rating was based purely on her ability to lead in an executive position. Her approval ratings only dropped after the DNC political machine teamed up with the MSM to make her look bad for having a retarded kid and a bastard grandchild.

This post is full of facts!

McCain , today, needs to be blowing on his hot soup at Applebees rather than governing.

McCain is insane....and a god damned idiot to boot. His entire platform consisted of, "Uhm....bomb some shit?" and "I nominated a hot woman as my running mate". The man got so confused who started screaming on the floor of the senate against bills he had co-sponsored and claiming anyone voting for them was un-American. Absolutely bat-shite crazy.

Much as I hate many of the things Obama has done, he is one HELL of a lot the better choice than McNutbag. Putting Palin on the ticket was a risk, it didn't hurt him with Republicans however. It did hurt him with swing voters though. Everyone but complete party faithful tools could see she was even more nuts and more of an idiot than he was.
