record labels steal artists intellectual property
the rest of us enjoy it the way it was inteded, with our senses rather than with our pocket books.

that content could not have been more stupid in this day and age. You could LITERALLY record an album for a hundred bucks and put it on the internet for anyone with senses to sense if you wanted to.

The amount of stupid your parents crammed into you is impressive. Second only I am sure to the that gets crammed into you.

*EDIT* haha the moronic chsirtian likes to justify his stealing with retarded images of robin hood as well? The connection between file thieves is obvious.

youre exactly right.
anyone can record music and put it out there. its when the mega entertainment corporations get involved that things are suddenly owned by someone who wont let you enjoy it without paying.
people do put out music over the internet all the time. its free. enjoy it.
isnt that how beeber was until sony claimed his intelectual property as theirs and went all nazi about it?

If we could convert rationalization into energy, Sweden could power all of Europe using nothing but their explanations for why file sharing isn't actually stealing.

A lot of times I'm not sure if you are actually arguing the points I am making or just saying random stupid stuff.

Just in case. If you can record things and put them out there for free. And other people can listen and share them for free all legally. Then why do any artists ever sign with Sony? And once they do, why worry about listening to the things that aren't free? Why not just stick to the billions of songs that are free and recorded by people who want to share them for free?

I think even a mental powerhouse like you can figure this out if you really put some thought into it Sweeny.

i can work on cars for free, donations, dinner, sex, a regular pay check where someone else lines them up for me....

you can shuffle any paper you want, or sit at any desk

just because i choose to let someone else line up gigs for me doesnt mean i cant still go work for sex or a good homecooked meal elsewhere.
is it stealing my services when they arent paying my employer?
is the stealing your services if you shuffle paperwork for your wife or kids and they dont pay your employer?

tell me how my employer would have ANY right to claim MY tools or skills as THEIR intellectual property or services or what have you.
they cant. it might even be against the law to claim me in such a way.
why do entertainment companies get away with claiming other peoples works?

So is your argument that Artists want to give you their music but can't because Sony is holding them hostage? I think this may be one of the rare situations where you are even dumber than I thought.

I'm not sure if congratulations are in order.

im saying its not sonys call as to weather or not laws can be enforced and people be heftily fined for copyright infringement.
its up to the artists.

and yes, ive seen plenty of them, in interviews, saying piracy doesnt bother them much because they still make millions.

its assholes like metallica who arent smart enough to not be brainwashed by mega corps who think the few pennies they are losing, as a result of piracy, actually matter.

But how did they make millions? Maybe this is all above your head. If those guys wanted to give you their music they could. They could give you and everyone else every song they've ever written and sung. Why did they not? Their opinion on what sony did after they gave the power to do it to Sony is relevant because??

The fact that you are stupid and easily manipulated is well recorded here, but I still can't figure out if you don't actually understand that they could give you their music if they wanted to, and if you wanted to you could only download legal music, but neither of you do those things. And you can't figure out why not?

http://torrentfreak.com/50cent-file-sharing-doesnt-hurt-the-artists-071208/

http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/news/artists-go-to-war-over-illegal-filesharing-1787959.html

i remember the old days when up and coming artists would circulate "tapes" around the highschool and people would make copies of them.
i even remember some of the local bands, trying to make it big, getting in some time at a recording studio and selling off tapes at their shows or around the highschool. i gladly bought them if i liked their stuff. i would make several copies. i would go to friends houses and theyd have something on tape that i liked and id copy it.
id copy songs off the radio, which was legal and upheld in court as legal, all the friggin time.
most of the bands never made it big. the only one that did, whos tape i didnt buy because they sucked, was squishing pumkins. the rest were kicked to the wayside and forgotten about, or they play locally still at small gigs, bars, weddings, etc.

now the mega corporations see an easy way to extend their profits and they want to control it. they want everything to go through them first rather than leaving up to the people whos actually intellectual property it is.

you ever been to a live concert?
how much money do you think beyonce makes for showing up on stage one night in any given town?

you ever been in some elses car and seen stacks of legally purchased music?
think the artists are getting paid for those legal copies?

ever seen itunes?
a buck a song?!

edit:
not sure if youve noticed but online piracy has been going on for a long time now and i still see plenty of wealthy musicians and movie producers.
not sure waht the rate of bankruptcy due to piracy actually is in the entertainment buisness but dont the majority of them still own multi million dollar homes, or even small islands?
