So true and so human. I've never loved or been really loved in a romantic way and my life is spent getting ready for something which never really happens.
Life is not fair and life is full of striving, unrealized dreams and disappointments.
I think I'm happy but others probably have a different opinion. Some of my customers really like me and others loath me. I'm the same person. The ones that loath me make my days a lot harder

I thought I wanted to die years ago but when I went to try to secretly do that deed I stopped because I realized that instead of death I wanted escape from my current circumstances and I figured death was the ONLY way out. Still I didnt really escape until my father passed away freeing me

I think a lot of people just say that because they don't want to face the truth.
Life certainly can be enjoyable, but it is not fair. Some people will enjoy life more than others, and some no matter how much they want to be happy never will be.
There are people who will never be loved, or successful or anything else they want for themselves. They will spend their entire lives longing for something that will never come, and even in the final moments cling to an existence they don't enjoy out of fear and regret.
It's kind of pathetic really.
Why not go ahead and embrace the inevitable? They could save themselves a lot of pain.

It is mentally ill. People dont really want to die. They want escape and release from their situation. The problem is when people are clinically depressed they get tunnel vision and they cant see that there are many ways to escape with the best one being getting professional help and medication.
Every living creature wants to live, grow, and reproduce including humans.

I agree what they want is really a release from their situation, but there are people who will never find that release.

Someday in that not too far future (hopefully not the too near future either), I'll be mud again. I'm not looking forward to it, but I'm not crazy with fear about it happening either. I'm enjoying the hell out of myself till it's no longer possible, then I'll turn off and that will be it.
I think deep thoughts (just like Mr. Handy), watch some porn, get drunk once or twice a month, flirt with women much too young for me (even though I hardly ever get them to flirt back), talk politics and religion with other idiots that like to talk about stupid crap like that, buy junk I don't need and never take it out of the box after it's delivered, play old video games, see this chick who blows me in return for compensation a couple of times a week, and once or twice a year take a trip to some godforsaken hell hole that looked really cool on the internet and on TV.
That's not being a rock star, but it's better than being mud. Right now anyways.
