Further, I find it a cowardly excuse to say "we're not meant to." Who intended humans to be a certain way? If you really wanted something, you damn well know you wouldn't take "you weren't meant to have it" as justification. The simple fact is that you don't want to keep it in your pants and rather than manning up to that fact, you'd rather drag the rest of us down with you. Childish.

Well most people are simply too afraid to stray which is why they don't.

I never said you can't control yourself but your biological makeup is clearly not designed to abstain..

Ugly people are also used to not getting laid so it's no big loss..

I look at it in a different light. Why did I cheat I on her in the first place? If I had a simple lapse in judgement, a moment of drunken weakness, it would mean something completely different than if I met another woman who moved me enough that I wanted her more than my lover.

There are many different ways to put value on a relationship. Determining the reason for your transgression is definitely a valid view to take.

I'm more speaking to the practical side of this. If I did something that broke the relationship in a fundamental way, I'm saying it makes more sense to walk away because you are chasing a dream at that point. If you can't get it back, why bother?

My biological makeup is also designed to murder people when I'm angry, run the hell away every time I'm scared, or freeze if I can't do either.
Considering both of us are still here, even after I perused the Outpost photo album, kind of tells you that you're more than your biological makeup.

Plus, if we weren't designed for it, we wouldn't have "evolved" into it.

It's easy not to stray away when you don't get girls.

Some of us are. Some have a mechanism built into them that allows them to stop before their rage becomes fatal.
It is only societies laws and training that have gotten us to the point we're at now. Not to mention the culling of our murderers from the gene pool through warfare, execution, and imprisonment.

The problem with Altra's argument is that he doesn't know how it feels to be surrounded by hot women who wants to bang you all the time.

If you did, you may not be able to say that you'd keep it in your pants.

I'm not saying I have hundreds of hot women wanting to bang me, but I have my share of decent/hot girls I can pick from all the time and have sex.

When I'm dating a girl, and there are a few other ones I'd LOVE to shag, odds are I'm not going to hold myself back. life's too short not to experience whatever you want, whenever you want to.

I've never strayed. I find it extraordinarily easy not to. I see zero truth in your statement and see it as a weak comment on human propensity for fidelity, honor, and integrity.

Very well said. My beliefs as well.
