Actually the capacity to change over time is a good thing.
In fact with regard to things like morality it is very important to be flexible. Where religion struggles is when it fails to be flexible.

There isn't a who here. It is an absolute. One of these things has more validity than the other in an absolute sense. Granted, both are ridiculous when examined on their own merits, but as least one of them has a physical basis.
Validity for what then? That's like saying, which of these is more valid, in an absolute sense:

My moral beliefs are quite a bit more flexible than most religions, but I'm not constrained by their obvious hypocrisy. The big difference in the validity of my belief's over religion's is how I came to gain them, through ongoing study and reflection of the human condition. Religion has to struggle with its stupid dogma for centuries to change any little thing and even then it loses droves of followers. It's all so very amusing.
