There isn't a who here. It is an absolute. One of these things has more validity than the other in an absolute sense. Granted, both are ridiculous when examined on their own merits, but as least one of them has a physical basis.

Seriously, if Astrology had stayed away from anything "solid" it would have had equal validity with religion. Both after all are completely made-up belief systems.
By your own metric however, religion wins the validity war, since the physical reality that astrology is based on is severely wrong (as others have already pointed out) It is the use of the real which invalidates astrology.
Religion, sticking with myth and story, retains its validity precisely because its belief system cannot be empirically challenged.

I didn't read the thread and I'm not really interested in getting into a dispute. I'm just pointing out you're very smug and closed-minded on the subject, which makes your claim that you a superior because you're open minded rather laughable.

Watching a college professor behaving in such a sophomoric manner makes me feel like a voyeur. I guess it shouldn't really be surprising PhDs are just as subject to human fallibility as anyone else. And it's not like the degree is so hard to get that they should be put on a pedestal. Heck we had a professor at the local university here fired last year for leading her graduate class out onto campus to destroy an abortion cross display.

Now if you would like to engage me in a real conversation about the epic fail that is religion, I'd love it.
