I personally think you are asking the wrong question. Well, at least if you are trying to get to the root of the problem here. If you are asking questions to lead discussion down a pre-determined path, it's a great question.
As someone pointed out yesterday, your line of questioning here is a variation on the 'no true scotsman' fallacy.
Instead of asking if it's culturally insensitive and offensive, go directly to the race card and ask if it's racism. Then move the goalposts on what constitutes racism if anyone gets close to the goalline. Meanwhile we lose track of the fact that the commercial is offensive and a bad way to advertise to US voters. Inevitably, we'll wander around to bemoaning the fact that only white people are victims of racism nowadays.
It's republican water-carrying 101.

I actually scrolled up to see the rest of the conversation and whom he was talking to.
Then I realized it was his only post, and that Tali was only responding to the voices in his head and an imaginary predetermined conversation about all things repub.
Then it made sense.

I dont think you understand the currency manipulation charge.
The Chinese gov't is printing trillions of Yuan and using them to push the value of the dollar up.
The US gov't prints trillions and buys stuff from banks allowing the banks to figure out what to do with those trillions.
Everybody is printing trillions....but they are doing very different things.

I'm making an observation about how the story is playing out in the press. You are pushing along a meme started by someone else. My comments were directed at the genesis of that meme.

I absolutely understand where Dae is coming from in this thread but I saw it much differently than he did, which I explained above. In fact I thought it was so funny I sent a copy of the vid to Xinhua.
