I never ruled drugs out for everybody so your comment is a bit pointless.
If your kid misbehaves and you tell his pediatrician about it, then you will get help in the form of a prescription and not a "super nanny".
That's the scenario i am laying out. Apparently youd choose the xanax and atypical anti-psychotics.

Striking a child for whatever reason is assault, you can justify it all you want but you as an adult you do not have a right to assault your child no more then you have the right to strike a stranger, they have the same lawful rights as you do if not more since they can't defend themselves.. Hitting and shaming them works - tried and true method
Drugs work - their mood will change but long term thy might have to stay on drugs forever and will have to deal with the side effects with other meds
You can choose either one.
My parents just restrained me and told me that enough was enough, and that I should behave.
I turned out more then alright.. My brother is working on his PHD so he must also function properly and he's about to become a dad himself.

I guess people forgot that kids have energy, like to act out and do things that are "childish". What the hell is wrong with people. Were you never a kid? You never did stupid things that adults looked at you and just said why did you do that? Its called learning, growing up. Its part of being a child. Why the hell would you medicate them for being normal and then force the into a drug induced "normal". Its idiocy. Growing up getting spanked is partially how you learn. Society these days are just way to sissyfied. I mean cmon. This thread is ridiculous.

Angry? It's just as illegal to strike a child in Sweden as it is to strike an adult.. My parents never raise a hand against me, you're a ex-drug fiend.. I'm a scholar and a gentleman with a solid job and a clean sheet.
If I spanked your wife and she liked it but then pressed charges I'd still go in for assault/battery..
A child has the right not to be harmed if you fail at disciplining your child and you have to resort to violence you're basically a failure as a human being and you're teaching your child that violence is okay and a preferred option to solve relationship issues.
edit: actually I have no idea if Jesus was into spanking children..

Growing up under physical punishment is something children of uncivilized plebeians do, they then in turn justify their violence against children as a form of discipline when it's really just an act of anger and borderline sadism.. I never needed to be spanked, I listened to my parents because they could use their grown up words and make me understand what I did wrong and had no need to hurt me physically, they were not inept shitty parents.. Nor did I need any drugs either..
It's illegal to harm another person, what makes a child less of a person?

Dont lie mammogram you know your parents squeezed your arms and yelled in your face and you cried like a girl and listened. You were just too frail and girl like to be spanked. They probably felt sorry for you. But it does make sense. Your all angry at anyone you disagree with. Its pretty interesting. You were "restrained" and yelled at. Damn, must have been so hard for you as a child. lol what a sissy. Is that what they did when you didn't do your chores? Or didnt take out the trash? Maybe you forgot to clean your room or put the toilet seat down and you were restrained and yelled at and you would break down crying and when you were done sobbing you were a reformed child lol.
