Its a big spending war mongering party.

Both parties are EXACTLY the same on that score.

A guy I work with says he wants to see a Romney/Santorum ticket.

It doesn't sound impossible.

They've been critical of each other. No one takes on a VP who has already been critical of them. The sound bites would be used to murder them in the general election.

It would be a miracle if the Republians won. I want them to lose badly so that they wake up, kick out their current leadership, and reform their party to be less warmongering and less big spending.

They are pretty much diametrically opposed. Tough to move away from both of them.

The Republican party doesn't like losing. A double digit loss will force many in the party to realize that they've lost touch with modern America.

Like in 2008? Huge loses made Republicans decide to gridlock government and double down on their stupid, but this time different, right?

The only possible candidate the Republicans have who could win (if everything totally falls apart between now and election time for Obama)....is Romney.

And Republicans hate that asshole more than Democrats do.

The Republican party is an alliance primarily between the neocons, the religious right, and the fiscal conservatives. The fiscal conservatives have been pretty much entirely ignored for decades. The party needs to be informed that they will not be getting the fiscal conservative votes unless they actually do something for the fiscal conservatives. They haven't so it's time to send them to a crushing defeat.

The Republicans don't like to lose. I think they will take notice if they get crushed by double digits.

Then stop ragging on Paul. He is the only one that is in league with the constitution, serious about drawing down our insane war mongering foreign policy and serious about real spending reductions. The rest of them are don't come close to what you say you want.

They didn't double down. The Tea Party Republicans went in a totally different direction. It's a shame they didn't replace more of the neocons and religious right.

I cant believe how banboozled the fiscal conservatives in the Republican party are.

Reagan spoke for years about small government but did he have small government when he was governor of CA? I doubt it. He totally grew the size of goverment during his two terms as president and so did every republican president after him

The fact that all these politicians get when they get into office is people like free stuff. If you give them tons of free stuff in office chances are you will be reelected.

This is a fact

Republicans keep voting for people who promise fiscal conservativism and then don't deliver.

I don't think Ron Paul will endorse the Republican nominee. In fact I bet he endorses Gary Johnson who will be the Libertarian candidate. If that happens I bet we'll see a double digit loss by the Republican.
