I have to admit Yuki is right. Of all the games a free trial in SWTOR will probably work because of the early story lines. The alts only work for a little while IMO. I have 3 in the 30s and a couple 20s. When I log on a 30 and see that I again have 25 moles to kill it just sucks the life out of the game. Plus the fact that every quest is diagonally at the other end of the map from the quest giver. The traveling and whack a mole wears on you at higher levels.

This is a big pet peeve of mine. Someone counted these up for the trooper storyline. For the trooper storyline, you must visit the coruscant senate tower 141 times. ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY ONE. And *NONE* of these visits except the first one (at least until the mid 40s - I haven't finished yet) are actually important to the story in any way at all. There is no reason they couldn't all be done via holocall.
If you add up the run time and loading time, these 140 unnessecary trips add a minimum of 6.5 hours to the story time that is just shameless padding.

I have been playing the game a good amount by my standards and it seems the people that are complaining the most have played even more than I have. I don't get people who will compulsively play a game for hours and hours and then complan about it like it kicked their baby only to turn around to play it for hours and hours.
I like the game but there was a time when I unsubscribed. SWTOR is the first MMO that I actually wanted to play after unsubscribing. Usually as soon as I do I stop playing because the appeal of the carrot is gone. In SWTOR I wanted to keep going with the story and that is why I kept playing.
Max level is not the end, the story is.

There is more story past the class line. The world story leading up to the destruction of Malgus and beyond is pretty cool.
We just got through our first raid (Eternity vault) Monday night. Was hella fun.
It's got all the game mechanics Wow does, it just needs more time for additional content. The launch has been one of the smoothest in memory.
The fact that they are releasing end game content in the first quarter after release is fantastic. Unlike other games (cough - Wow - cough), they haven't had to spend the first three months getting infrastructure together and fixing showstoppers.
Overall, I am impressed and still having fun. Your mileage may vary.
**Edit - A common theme I'm seeing to the complaining is lack of social activity. Everyone seems to be unimpressed that the solo route starts to run out of viability at 50. Big surprise that an MMO would need others to access content**

It's more the social side of things is so different from the 1-50 story experience and so derivative in comparison.
The game changes completely when you hit 50. There's maybe another hour or two of reasonable solo content post 50 then it's all repeated daily quests on both the pve and pvp side.
It is too harsh to say the group PVE content is bad but it is not particularly good either. And if you have been doing flashpoints as you level up, there's only 1-2 new flashpoints to do. The PVP is dreadful, especially at 50.
So that basically leaves raiding as the only real new thing the game offers at 50 in return for the end of the story experience.
Like I said, it's not a bad mmo at 50. It's just got nothing to reccomend it over any of the others. The selling points of the game disappear once you hit the level cap. It is actually the polar opposite of the experience I have had in most other MMOs where getting to max level feels like busywork. In this one, leveling was good but being at max level feels like busywork.

All end game MMO gameplay seems like busy work to me. WOW's end game combined synchronized swimming to the mix.

There's 5\6 end Game Flashpoints and 2 OPS. With 2 more Flashpoints and another OP planned in the next month.
I won't argue that end game needs play balancing and some tweaking. But it's not terrible. It's about the same as WOW imo.
I would expect a shift to end game content this spring.
Part of the problem in your evaluation Yuki, imo, is that you are comparing a game that's been released for 2 months with a game that's been out 8 years.
Wow endgame was TERRIBLE at launch and for about the first year afterwords.
