Free trials this soon are never a good thing. That said, I'd hop on for 15 days just to be sure that I was correct in having no interest in this game.

Same here. Free trials are imo gonna be necessary going forward if an MMO is to survive. I don't think this is necessarily a negative. The games cost too much to risk not playing before buying the box (or download) imo.

As I said earlier... they are hemorraging subs. 
It'll be justified away like anything else, but to be honest, free trials might actually do a lot of good for TOR. Casual people will get enough story to be hooked in a trial, but not too much that they realize what is actually going on, so they'll sub for a period of time because it's fun to play at star wars, in their own personal story. They'll assume the MMO part will come later at higher levels.
Now they are subbed, only to realize that there is nothing else after the story. Bioware still gets their money, for whatever period they subbed for.

It's ideal for BW as long as they still make people buy a full-price retail box when the trial ends. Free trials are a great idea for TOR because the gameplay is actually good to begin with.

i disagree with that but i think free trials and f2p would do a world of good for the game.

i disagree that the GAMEPLAY is good. i fully agree with you that the rest of it is good at first. i think the gameplay was always kind of crap. but everything else made you not really notice how bad it was, initially.
