I don't know what movie you're talking about, but it isn't difficult to argue that religions have a long history of repackaging, reinterpreting and representing the religions that came before and also those that competed for followers. There is very very little in Christianity that is unique to Christianity. That is likely part of why it worked as well as it did once they opened the doors to non-Jews. Adding in the rituals and iconography of new converts is a great way to make them feel empowered and at home.
Also, Moe you're kidding about the Torah comment, right?

When I read these threads I can never been sure if IMHO is trolling or if he is honestly intimidated by the fact that not everyone believes the way he does.
Maybe it's both?

Well right, Jesus was a rabbi who studied under rabbis and he was attempting to reform Judaism. He had some radical ideas, but for the most part preached a pretty strictly observed life. The radical parts were mostly based on his belief that the end of days was about to happen. In most ways he was probably even more Jewish than those who opposed him. They killed him for that you know.
