There is an event horizon to our knowledge. It's something that you all seem to agree with me on. No one knows it all. You douche canoes already agreed with me on that, so don't try to back track. Without knowing it all there is no way to put all the pieces together. There will be no way to see the complete full picture. So to say you know there is no God is the ultimate in arrogance.
I may never know if God actually exists, but looking at the miracle of our universe, I have faith He does.

See - you look at the 'miracle' of our universe and jump to OMG God...
Others look at the universe, piece together facts, observations, evidence and build a hypothesis...
I could go on, but I think you see the difference in the picture that' emerging just from that little bit.
If not - so be it...

Just so long as you understand that when you worship Jesus, you're really just worshiping Horus, then by all means, enjoy your repackaged Sun Worship.
Apparently you're under the misguided belief that the movie Zeitgeist is factually or even historically correct??
Really?
I don't know what movie you're talking about
Shin mentioned it in another thread:

After watching Zeitgeist, the dates of Christmas and Easter, and the story of the birth of Jesus and the death and resurrection make even more sense to me.
Then he dropped his Horus reference here, which means Shinkicker is an idiot and believes the movie has merit.
Basically, Zeitgeist falls into the category of "Not Even Wrong". To be wrong, you must first get something, anything, right, and the conclusions drawn must have some basis in reality - and Zeitgeist fails this most basic of litmus tests.

Pretty sure the movie Zeitgeist isn't the only media that covers the evolution and intertwining of Earthly religious practices...

Of course it isn't. It is however quite possibly the worst... since it doesn't have any basis in reality. Most of the conclusions and associations in the film are made up out of whole cloth.

I may never know if God actually exists, but looking at the miracle of our universe, I have faith He does.
Then again we did not know how tides worked 200 years ago, now we do.. Human knowledge and understanding is always evolving to just say that "we will never know" is just as idiotic as saying "we know" no matter where you are on the fence.
I don't know if god exists or not, but in all probability he does not in the same way as we're about 99% sure that Unicorns does not exist. You replace the uncertainty and improbability with your faith which basically means that you turn your brain off and just wish for something to be true without there being any real proof of it, just a lot of magic and tradition and that it's accepted by society.
That you chose the Juedo-Christian god with such surety just makes it even more improbable since there are thousands of potential candidates out there, and what if god happens to be something totally different from what every religion on earth believes him or her or it to be which makes any faith faith scripture, dogma and it's tennets even more useless since the deck is stacked against you either way.
IMHO if you're happy with your faith and it helps you to keep away from booze and enriches your life then just go for it.. a pipe dream is preferable to alcoholism and misery in your case.. I don't don't need it and trying to believe would conflict with every fiber of my being when it comes to reason and logic I just don't see it, and uncertainty does not scare me neither does nothingness, same as I'm not looking back to the time when I did not exist with horror.

The first part about Horus was pretty cool, wasn't that the one that totally flipped out about evil space lizards?
