I always found the reverse to be true. If you are a "nice" guy that a girl would want to take home to meet the parents you can pretty easily maintain the relationship, but it is harder to get them started... I am generally speaking of course.

Well I dont have a clue on how to get a woman but I think you need to get one you feel comfortable with who you have common interests with. Sinlock found a really cool wife with many common interests with him. Very impressive

This however is bullshit.
not all women look for the "nice" guy when they first meet. A lot of men are nice guys. you need to be different than most if you want to attract the girl YOU want to be with. Thinking being a nice guy is good enough is a recipe for disaster. Elocism is right that pea cocking will attract the beautiful women you want to bang, but if you have the alpha male/peacock attitude + you're a man with depth, intelligence with a great personality, you will get much further than the socially awkward nice guy that has trouble being confident.

You prove my point. Being the nice guy doesn't work to get them, duh. Being the nice guy KEEEPS them. Which is why it was harder for me to get them and not keep them.

pfft.. You'd never notice mine and if you do you've got excellent taste. 
I do not wear any gold, diamonds or such no rings. My suits are of a good cut, tailor and fabric but very conservative on the edge of somber, same with my shoes and the only accessories I have are basically my watch which is on the pricey side and my cufflinks.
I wear status symbols that are very muted and really only recognizable if closely examined, I'd look just as good as a medium costly off rack suit as I do in my tailored ones.
Yes I like my status symbols but I see no need to advertise I buy them because I want them, I'd never buy anything as gaudy and vulgar as a Ferrari or diamond cufflinks or anything as stupid as that.
