Did you see the story I linked? The teacher was allowed, by law, to retire before they could complete the process of firing him so they will be unable to contest his pension or disallow his lifetime medical care. I wonder if the teachers union supported or maybe even lobbied for that law or were they against it? They are even against changing the law so this doesn't happen again.
