Its a mess. I can understand an aggressive defense but America cant afford all these wars now

Israel has absolutely zero interest in solving the Israeli/Palestinian conflict because they enjoy being a police state. That is how they justify having secret nukes(conspthiracy theory???) and receiving half a trillion dollars a year in military aid from the US.
In order to be a successful police state, it is necessary to have someone always there to police.

If they had any interest in solving this - they would stop taking over more land, they would stop occupying Palestine, They would stop bulldozing villages, basically if they were interested in solving this issue they never would have started it...
