Normally I don't think it's fair to be able to call out just a single expansion to a game.
OTOH, ToA mayyyybe, and New Frontiers DEFINITELY, weren't expansions. They turned the game into something totally different.
Look at NF. When you completely delete the PVP zones that used to exist and replace them with new ones rather than 'add zones and play options'... that's a new game IMO. NF was a new game. It should have been designated DAOC-II.
(NF is also when I went from "merely disgruntled DAoC player" to "ex DAoC player." I saw NF on the test server, toyed with it, and quit right as it went live. ToA annoyed me and belittled what I cared about. NF broke everything I cared about.)
Yup, no AMG standoffs was what really killed game for me, too...all that was left was 1vs1, 8vs8 and huge keep battles...boring like
hell compared to AMG standoffs

Critical Path was one of earliest games to be released on CD-ROM, and featured real time video which made it appear to be graphically superior to most games of its time. In actuality, the entire game was an interactive movie, where most choices would simply cause the game to progress or end.
Finished it in 30 minutes if I remember right. lol.

I think I have dodged every game mentioned as disappointing with the exception of Warhammer, and I enjoyed the first 30 levels very much.
I would still be playing WAR if its end game wasn't a horrible lagfest of unmitigated disaster.
Right there with ya, Moe. WAR is the most pvp fun I've had with Outposters as well.
I'll go with Shadowbane. That was the last time I really drank the koolaid. I had read the entire site and was totally juiced to play it. I got to sit at their booth's demo computer at GenCon and was incredibly horrified but they assured me it would be worked out before beta was over. When I finally played, it was even worse. What a huge suckfest. 
Seems to me there have been a few rpgs that were fun but only lasted a few hours and so were ultimately disappointing, but yeah.
I haven't played ME3 yet though, and there seems some serious hate going for it atm.
