I appreciate your insulting acceptance of my lifestyle though.

No problem man.

P.S. I think my queasiness has to do with growing up in a country with a whole generation of husbands who literally COULDN'T do it on their own. Men who have never shopped in their lives or cooked a single meal. Who wouldn't even know where to go to get underwear. They would have to go back to living with their moms if their wives left them. As a kid I saw how totally incompetent a lot of my friends dads were and I vowed I was never gonna be like that.

Uh, I've been living on my own for almost 10 years now and I've never really gone shopping or cooked a meal before. Never saw the need.

WTF is underwear anyway?

some azn sh*t

Ugh. I couldn't stand that sort of dependence. I would feel like I was being treated like, well, a five year old all the time if my wife did that.

I am glad it works out well for you though.

hahaha I don't know why you'd view it as dependent. I don't think either of us are dependent on one another in the sense we couldn't do for ourselves. but we all have our biases. I appreciate your insulting acceptance of my lifestyle though.

You just told everyone you are dependent to the point where you wouldn't even know how to dress yourself without your wife. If your wife left you'd be lost, inadequate, screwed, etc.,.

not only does she buy all of my clothes, but she doesn't like to make me go to the store to try them on so she usually buys a couple different styles/sizes and has me runway at home then takes back what she doesn't like.

These salarymen sound pretty awesome.

in spite of all my talk though, I am nearly one hundred percent selfless when it comes to my family. Which is not really selfless given how vested most people and certainly me are in their family, but she views it as such. So she is happy to do for me.

That said, I have no delusions about how lucky I was/am. She's also smoking hot.

You realize all the Japanese Salary mens wives go out and get fked don't you ? Maybe not, you don't seem to know very much about humanity and are quite racist....

Crazy sexxorz, then told me she didn't want to cuddle because I hadn't had enough time to play computer the last few days. We will have our 19th anniversary in September. that's how you know I'm better than you.

She was just excited to show you what I taught her.

You never ask your woman where she learned to "do that so well".

LOL

Some of you guys sound like women's libbers yourselves.

While I can understand Yuki's abhorrence for the incapable men of Japan's previous generation, it still doesn't mean that having a wife to take care of these sundry details is a problem.

Yes, you should know where to buy your underwear, but if your homemaker wife is going to the store, why the hell shouldn't she pick them up for you, along with your socks?

Now, I wouldn't make a woman do my ironing for me and for the money and time, a good dry cleaners does a better job than I could ever be bothered with, but if I had a wife who was a homemaker, you can damn well bet she'd be in charge of taking the dry cleaning out and picking it up each week along with the rest of her errands.

I fail to see how such a division of labor isn't beneficial to all parties concerned. Obviously a man should know how to do the things his homemaker wife does for him, or where to go to pay someone to do them, but without those tasks, what would the woman do if she didn't work outside the home? Yeah, when the kids are young, she has to drag them around for the errands, that's part of the labor of it which makes such effort so valuable, but this is not a problem as long as both parties are agreeable.

Sounds like GC is far more fortunate than he deserves and so I guess I understand all of your jealous angst over it, and I am envious as well, but it is what it is. Trust me when I tell you that there are PLENTY of women out there who think that the deal GC's wife has is a pretty damn good one... PLENTY.

Grats GC! I'd say you're lucky but I bet you've earned such a wonderful woman the hard way.

Enjoy the good times when they happen, be thankful for all the good crap you get, revel in the awesomeness, feel like the king of the hill and rejoice in it.....

Life is short, it's also fickle and mean spirited and hates lovers and happiness. Steal every second of wonder you can, and laugh all the way into your casket. It's all you get, one run, no redos or mulligans, make it fucking brilliant and the hell with anyone who tells you to think or doubt or cover your bets....
