Ugh. I couldn't stand that sort of dependence. I would feel like I was being treated like, well, a five year old all the time if my wife did that.

I think it's cool. And I guess I should mention the giant elephant in that I don't see a housewife as "dependent" on him in any way more than he's dependent on her.

hahaha I don't know why you'd view it as dependent. I don't think either of us are dependent on one another in the sense we couldn't do for ourselves. but we all have our biases. I appreciate your insulting acceptance of my lifestyle though.

Uh I was talking about him being dependent on her, not the other way around. Fatty.
It's cool if it works for them. If it were me I'd feel like a five year old having my wife do all that stuff for me.

The only thing bad about the lifestyle I lead is that some people felt forced into it when they didn't want it. Being pretentious about a devoted housewife shows who has the bias IMO.

P.S. I think my queasiness has to do with growing up in a country with a whole generation of husbands who literally COULDN'T do it on their own. Men who have never shopped in their lives or cooked a single meal. Who wouldn't even know where to go to get underwear. They would have to go back to living with their moms if their wives left them. As a kid I saw how totally incompetent a lot of my friends dads were and I vowed I was never gonna be like that.

Uh, I've been living on my own for almost 10 years now and I've never really gone shopping or cooked a meal before. Never saw the need.
