That's exactly what I mean though Aaron, VN has always been a neutral ground for us to gather, discuss, debate, fight, and basically live online. There's a huge level of integrity and authenticity in those basic freedoms, which is why I made this post. Even the potential to silence people because you don't like what they're saying is unhealthy and isn't conducive for community.
So one rule is simply to not have back and forth bickering on other people's screen (in game I mean)
Want to play in the massive Darktide guild in GW2? Follow one easy to manage rule.

Yeah, it's up to other people really.
We put some work into our forums so they're actually pretty solid and I have no problem with a bunch of VN people registering as long as they can put aside their petty faggotry and not try and hack each other and shit.
It's just another option, I truly don't care enough about anything that goes on here or in-game to let personal bias really affect things, I'd even let vulno and his faggy crew of mouth breathers post there.
The problem is this cant just be a backup where a "bunch" of people will move over. It has to be a complete replacement for everyone to move over. It will be the same people you see every day here, who hate each other and flame each other etc. Whoever takes this task has to be wiling to act as VN has for us all these years.

This is what I'm saying, the way I see it, the only thing I could see banning people for is linking to viruses, trojans or shit we all agree is tasteless like kiddie porn whereas pictures that show closeups of vags / anuses or racially offensive etc would be no biggie.
IMO, I would like forums that are even less restricted than VN is, that's how I run my shit.
Flaming people and the bickering / flame wars that go on here are what makes VN what it is, that should and would all be tolerated in my opinion.

I mean, as long as there's a place where we can go and vent at each other with zero repercussion, I don't mind adopting rules of civility in game. We do need an outlet though, thus the boards.

The white seems to be easiest on the eyes also. For me personally.

The color scheme that VN uses looks really ugly/trashy for any of the new modern forum software, not sure if you've messed around with it at all. I couldn't get it to look halfway decent
