Divination's post has traits more along the lines of a venting post. Venters aren't trolls. They're people who wanted to post something intelligent but were too angry to slow down and write it properly. Most of the time you can still read through the emotion and find what they are trying to say with good reading comprehension. That's why people are taught to write everything while they're angry, then erase it so that they can rewrite it.

The best thing to do is not to call them trolls, but to acknowledge what they tried to say. This way the thread stays on topic and readers won't have to skip past useless replies of people giving troll scores which aren't on topic.

If Divination comes out and admits he is trolling, then ignore this, of course. Even so, all I'm saying is people should have a few manners is all. Not all people can have all manners.

DAoC has gotten many changes over the years. It's really not the same game anymore, so I think I understand where Divination is coming from. It's a common thing to see people wishing the game was simple again back like when it was new.

The game has gotten old and it's packed in very tight with new classes and abilities.

Due to the recent changes and the fact that there is no mashable purge, but 234,765,345,234,345 forms off CC always being mashed on you, the game has become an unplayable, skill-less mess of unbalanced classes with rediculous abilities, all running around in a soup of confusion trying to get useless RPs so they can mash new useless abilities into oblivion.


There is no strategy, or any kind of tactics involved in this game anymore. There is only this mess of sad abilities that make the game unplayable most of the time because you are CCed and cannot do anything anyway.


Example: We now have stealth wizards (Nightshades), that do 300-400 a tick and just cast this pathetic spell over and over again.


Example: We have SBs with 2 handed SL PAs running across bridges with 3 SL items in their template because it's easy RPs every 5 minutes.


Example: Vamps are a one finger wonder and that's all you need to play it. I just sit down whenever I encounter a vamp. Why bother fighting when I have no chance? Mythic, if you wanted a slaughter, just give me a suicide button and I will give them their free RPs. Until then, I just take a seat.


Example: Desperate bowman. Yeah, I will just stand around taking damage for 9 seconds while the archer posse tees off on me and, oh wait, I don't need 9 seconds, I only needed 3, as every tom, dick and hairy harry with a bow within 1800 just killed me, thanks Mythic.


There are at least 5,000 more examples, but my fingers are too tired to type anymore.


Mythic, please fix this mess of nonsensical abilities you put into the game. They make no sense and they have no counter to them. Also, try to imagine how the game is played (like archer teams of 2 to 20).
