well obviously you do, because if your internet is working, and you can log your account in, then the game.dll cant connect.. its a firewall issue.
windows has a lame built in firewall, alot of anti-virus programs have a firewall in them now, and alot of routers are starting to have firewalls in them...

Someone is probably on your account... this is exactly happens now when someone else has your toon logged in.

I thought that may be the issue also, so i made a free trial account and same problem, still get a Service not Available error.

I got the same problem and so does my friend. I got off the phone with an EA tech and they told me that if you have satellite internet you will get that. They have received a lot of complaints about this since the patch and are working towards a fix. Her and I both have that type of internet. I hope this helps.

Well at least EA is fianlly trying to do something about it, i called them 3 different times after the patch. They just gave me the run around blameing my ISP and also Lynksys (router). I guess they dont care untill they get enough people complaining about the issue. Thanks Eratth.

It may be needed to run the patcher in Admin mode if you're running Vista/7.
Also, where are you playing from (although if you're on Satellite it may not matter)
Aside from that, a traceroute to http://patch.daoc.eamythic.com:1380 or if from the EU, http://patch-eu.daoc.eamythic.com:1380
Happening to me on Windows 7 and Windows XP using Wildblue Satellite. I can connect no problem with dial up. Sooooooooooooooo!
Fix it Andy or I am going to come run naked through EA/Mythic headquarters!

I just got off the phone with EA again, and they said that the issue has been escalated, due to the amount of people reporting the same problem, and they will be working on the problem. It might be as early as Wed. of next week that the problem should be resolved.

lol well i have hughes sattlite internet. and of course they blame my comp, EA/Mythic and everone but them selves.
And if you push the issue with em enough they hang up on you.
Oh and you would think with enough ppl having this issue they would bother to past something on the herald(like they used to post issues so ppl know they know).Now fire the herald staff and make the herald die the rest of the way  |

Posting about it on the Herald would probably be a good idea. I didn't try to much on my end to fix anything. Once I connected with both PC's on dial up I knew it was most likely not on my end.
