just one more question:

When the Camelotherald will be fixed?

ATM it's totally useless for all new players that want to start, it's full of outdated info, and the server status is broken from months.
I know that there isn't an huge staff behind, and fix everything is not possible, but i think that the community is still strong and if mythic cannot use resources to revamp the site a lot of community members will be proud to help for free.
I'm a webdesigner if needed.

We're still working on a revamp of the Herald itself, including an updated look. Unfortunately I do not have an ETA.

Thank you for both of you coming out and being as honest and putting out

a lot of information, that makes your customers happier than being in the dark.

I think buffers and those fine quests in all the BGs up to Cathal Valley would be

hot.

You are quite the immature and obnoxious person. This is not the thread for that, use one of the other 5 threads you have.

Has Mythic considered having the Herald (or parts of the Herald guide pages and/or character info pages) set up like a Wiki?

Give the Knights (TLs) supervision over areas of the Herald that pertain to the field the Knight is assigned. Have the Knights create new content, or update old content, and have the Knights review/approve updates and changes that are submitted by the players.

Of course someone from Mythic would review and have final approval over any updates/changes.

There are tens of thousands of hours of player-generated information on third party sites while the Herald always seems to have outdated info (some info outdated for many years). If a system were devised to utilize players (and Knights) to keep the Herald game info pages updated, the Herald would always have up to date info and guides.

Having parts of the Herald set up like a Wiki would take initial effort but once it is set up, one single person from Mythic would essentially have a staff of 20 to 50 free workers helping take care of the game info on the Herald.

I don't think they can do this, due to legal reasons. I remember hearing about a lawsuit against a company who used volunteers to work on the game, and then the volunteers filed a lawsuit saying that they were actually employees, and therefore, entitled to back pay for the work that they did. There might be a waiver that could be signed by the volunteers to help the company disclaim all liability, but who knows if that is enforceable. I'm not an attorney, so I don't know if there is any precedent in these matters.

It depends on how it is set up. As far as I know Wiki sites do not pay those that contribute to the site.

The DAoC Knights (TLs) are not employees.

Also, when in CV, you can only port out from the PK belonging to the character you're on's realm. A hib can't port out from Alb or Mid CKs. Annoying little design oversight.
