RA Revamp Clarifications |
Greetings,
I wanted to make a few simple clarifications for the RA Revamp that will be coming live quite soon.
Our goal was to enhance the system that already exists, making it easier for low RR characters to get a few more precious abilities needed to compete, as well as give the higher RR characters more flexibility and customization of their character. If your character is where you want it to be now, you can spend the exact same amount of RP's and get the exact same level of benefits from your RA's, no dramatic, and in reality (More levels yes but) no change has been made to the RA's.
Simplistically, we took a 5 point RA, Aug dex, and made Aug Dex5 the new Aug Dex9. Same RP's spent to purchase, Same bonus given. The difference here is we added half steps. (Old) Aug Dex 1 = (New) Aug Dex 1. (New) Aug dex 2 = Halfway between (Old) Aug dex 1 and (Old) Aug Dex 2. The half steps for the most part have been placed perfectly in between.
The same holds true for the 3 level RA's, adding 2 half steps to the top level, which gives us now 5 levels. In the instance of purge, Moc, etc. on the half steps RUT's, Damage values,and delays have perfect half steps. Going from a 5 sec delay on purge, to a 2.5 second delay on purge etc.
I hope that gives some clarification. I'm asking that you wait and hold questions about specific RA's and values until the patch notes come out. They will be out very soon, and all the information you need will be in them. If there are any other questions however, I would love to answer them.

Thank you for the clarification(s). Look forward to those patch notes.
I realize you don't want specific questions now, however, it is pretty much universally agreed that the 3 tier purge system and re-use timers don't make any sense. So, hopefully that gets some re-thinking along with the RR5 review.

How much time and resources would it take and/or are they even possible,for these sugg's,that would improve gameplay tenfold,imo;
1-Cut the time in the boat in NF in half.
2-Allow 2 realms in DF at all times.(or last realm gets 24 hours or something).
3-Put npc buffers in the BG's.
4-Increase buff pots to last an hour or make champ buffs better.

I thought daoc never used decimals for time values in seconds. Always seems to round up or down.
Any information potential updates/changes to some of the less than useful RR5's some classes have? Enchanter, necromancer, and wizard come to mind. There may be some others. I'm not asking specifically what changes there are, but simply if they are being looked into.
