I was around during the toa hype. I tested it. People were definitely NOT asking for more pve levelling. They were NOT asking for more op'd trinkets and must haves. They WERE asking for more rvr content. They were NOT asking to spread rvr out over massive spaces to dilute it. Most were NOT asking for keep fires, etc to warn of invasions.
People were NOT asking for stupidly OPd new classes. People were NOT asking for the requirement to run 2-4 accounts just to compete on one character. Archer classes were most definitely NOT asking for the caster abomination we got. We weren't asking for pig herding, goofy hats and the other things they wasted their time on.
I totally agree. No one was asking for what Mythic finally ended up coding, no one. It should be so obvious to any that can see. Only the blind would blame players for what Mythic coded.
It is funny how according to Belkiolle, any silly little request on some board somewhere, or some check box on a tiny, simple, short poll, means that everything that was coded was explicitly asked for by the players. Too funny.
If you put reality right in someone's face, with huge amounts of proof, more proof than they asked for (â€oneâ€), and they totally ignore it, it is just sad.
Janitors may have been given credit for some of the game code but, except for some custom UIs, I do not believe Mythic ever allowed players to write game code.
