I'm really happy that you can kill duos and trios and quartets, sincets and octagonaicalets....


BUT WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH THIS THREAD?


I am getting ganked by anywhere from 2 to 200 stealthers at once. IT IS A MESS AND THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING ADDED LIKE A PENALTY FOR ADDING ON A SOLOER.

he was pointing at that as a solo, he didnt have a problem with living and killing groups of people... wich is relevant as he solo's and does a better job of it then you apparently...

and as already stated... people already get a penalty for adding on fights... diminished RP returns...

and RED = DEAD ... thats how it is.. this is a MASSIVE MULITPLAYER game... wich means... your not ment to solo... its ment to be played with other people... if you choose to play against the indended gameplay thats YOUR CHOICE not something the developers should balance around...

Maybe it is just me but since I am RR10 and nothing else to play for other than the thrill of it, I don't care if I get added on or zerged. Those times I run into a solo or grp of players and win or kill a few is what keeps me coming back. The fun part is analyzing how I could of done things better and what I can do next time that situation arises. Enough of this whining about I cant solo or I get zerged crap. Play the game if u aint having fun quit. I know I have many times.

You do not get diminished RPs for ganking people. Where do you get that from?


When solo, there is a risk and reward for making a kill and that equals full RPs, but if you die, you get nothing.


If you are in a duo and your team makes a kill, you will get less than a solo kill, but at less than half of the risk, therefore you will get more RPs compared to risk than you would solo.


Also, the formula for RPs is not linear. For example, if you make a solo kill, you might get 1,000 RPs, whereas, if your duo makes a kill, you might both get 700 RPs.


The risk of dying to a solo when in a duo is not half what it was when solo, it is more like 20-30%. The reason is simple math and damage. If you made a statistical analysis of the damage output and CC, you would see that the odds of dying while in a duo to a solo are going to be outside of the standard deviation and less than 32%. I have done the analysis already and came up with a roughly 25-30% that one in the duo will die to a solo.


As your group gets larger, it will overcome larger numbers easier and the risk of dying drastically decreases. The group RP situation though, encourages grouping and stealth zerging because it is the same as the visibles RP formula, which makes absolutely no sense.

The game encourages zerging and mindless stealth ganking because RPs remain high, while risk gets lower as you add more people.

So you trying to be a 'soloer'?


I bet you add on fights yourself and zerged ur way to RR????


If you want to be a 'soloer', earn it... if you get zerged 24/7 you just need to be patient to get your 1 v 1 and people might eventually respect you for doing what your doing. But then again people pay to play how they like. You choose to play as a 'soloer' you play how you like but DO NOT EXPECT PEOPLE TO INSTANTLY LEAVE YOU ALONE IF/WHEN YOU FIND A FIGHT. A Good 'Soloer' is able to handle against multiple targets.


Questions for you:


What Spec are you running / What RA set up are you running / What weapons are you using / Are you slow at firing remedy against other assassins / Do you use mezz poison / Do you switch weapons during fights / Do you switch weapons when facing more than 1 enemy?

He had like 120 Solo kills at RR11 when he started to whine about Mashable purge and OP CC

Unfortunately, the balance is such that the vast majority of this game's classes are worthless in groups. (Stealthers, a few casters, all melee without charge) If you are one of these classes, solo is your only real option. 8-mans don't want you, and you could small man with 2 or 3 people but if you do that you will still get rolled by the large zergs and the stealthers will just ignore you, resulting in far less RPs than just soloing. You could also join the zerg, but if you are a melee, you are worthless in keep takes and are just leeching, and everyone knows it.

I disagree. You have many options, sometimes you just have to put forth some effort and make them yourself though. People will group with, and play with, people they like, regardless of the class that they play. If you are having trouble finding a group, start one yourself...it's pretty simple.

I didn't realize that tanks were worthless in keep takes. I always thought that it was the tanks that ran the ram and claimed the walls to take out the people on oil and such. Sometimes I wonder if I'm playing the same game as other people who post on the VN.

Rather than being so quick to complain about what IS why not ask how the MANY others have overcome these hurdle's?. Alot of people who post on this site have great idea's on how to get around these issues. I will be the first to admit that I have had frusterating days being solo and have myself complained on several occassions but the first thing I do is rebuff, go back out,knuckle down and analyze what I did wrong or what I could do differently. If its strickly 1v1 duel action solo your looking for there is almost always a section in laby that dueleetests have cordoned off and is generally respected.
