You must play an entirely different game from the DAoC that I play.

1) RPs for taking keeps and relics is very small compared to what you could make camping high traffic areas.
There is much more to the game than just RP's. Perhaps that is part of your problem, you view the game from a single-minded standpoint. Taking the keeps and relics has a lot more benefit for the entire realm than just your RP's. Again, a realm vs. realm thing. What players do in NF helps the entire realm.

2) Elitist groups aren't interested in relics. They just want to get RPs by killing less organized and smaller groups.
Elitist groups are not the only people who play the DAoC that I play. Honestly, the elitist players I know have zero desire to gank lesser groups. The will defend themselves against being attacked, but respect soloists and group vs. group combat. Again I must wonder if we are actually playing the same DAoC.

3) In general, there is no benefit to taking relics that make it worthwhile compared to just skill-lessly ganking lesser numbers.
Again, immature, close-minded, selfish thinking. See my comments above about relics benefiting the entire realm.

This is a game with too many classes with specific abilities that have little to no meaning in large scale warfare as the action is too fast for most of the skills and abilities to do anything so the results are button mashing CC and the high damage spells/styles.
Pray tell, what are these abilities? You name one, and I'll name how it can be useful in large scale combat.

All of the style lines and spell lines come down to one finger button mashing thereby making most classes useless in a group that doesn't have an ability that can be mashed effectively.
I'm going to guess that it is this thought process that has led to all the comments others have made regarding your stats. If you truly believe that you only have to mash one button with one finger you do not know how to play your class or how other classes are played well. This will, of course, result in your death to those who do understand that PvP is much more involved than mashing one button.
Also, I'm not quite sure what this last statement has to do with soloing. If your premise is that it should be easier and more rewarding to solo, why even worry about what classes may or may not be viable in groups?
As others have advised. Slow down. Learn to play the game and your class. Spend more time thinking than complaining. Analyze what you are doing and what others have done to you in combat. When you get killed, pause, take a moment to review the combat log and see why you died before you /release /QQ.
