yeah the problem of having a game to support would be solved as everyone would /cancel because they couldnt play the characters they wanted, when they wanted.

People play where they believe there is the best chance of getting groups and doing the things that make the game enjoyable. Over powered classes really don't come into play on that decision most of the time. While I have my best characters in Hibernia and all of my crafters, the only things I play consistently there now are my stealthers. Getting visible groups in Hibernia is frustrating unless you are in a guild that runs 8 mans. Midgard has similar issues but is still better. In Albion, casual players have a place that they can play.

The only reason I'm not playing hib is because of the insane cost of templating atm. Not to mention how long it will take to farm enough scales/glass solo to put a temp together. Maybe the offset could be reduced cost in dragon scales/glass for dragon drops, ML's, artis etc. for the underdog realm.

There has to be a way to flag an account as realm specific. Avoiding the lockout timer is beyond easy and has never even been remotely addressed.

To me if a player is not in any RvR areas, there should be zero lockout time. If they are in a PvP area, there should be a short one. If they are in the area and actually engaged, maybe a longer timer.

But part of what is cool about DAoC is there are three different realms to play in, there is only one server, so cross realming happens. What bugs me most is the people that go out of their way to let people know they are doing it. If you are doing to do it, just log off and run off to the other realm, who cares.

To each his own, but for me; i never transfered my hibs and mids to ywain, only play alb. It was different when I went to another server to play hib/mid, but I play this game "still" for realm pride and with only one server i am NOT going to log into whichever side is "winning" for the night, I'll play alb win or lose.

It's nice to see people can still get worked up over this stuff.

If you know people the getting groups issue is much less of a concern. Join a guild. make some friends.

I disagree that the power of a class does not play into the decision - have you seen how many NS, Paladins, Warlocks, etc. there are?

Albion is a zerg fest with a lot of powerful classes.

I used to play Alb only and I would defend them like anyone else, but you cannot deny that they have some of the best classes in the game: Sorcerer, Wizard, Theurgist, Cabalist, Paladin, Necromancer, Minstrel. Fortunately, a lot more noobs play alb and aren't as adept at playing their class/toon.

Bit of rage fueled this post - the zerg fest of Albs lately with all of the relics is getting annoying.
