There is a small camp of OJ and yellow maidens W/SW of the town in Green Glades. I don't have a /loc right now and am heading to bed, but I'll get you one if no one else has by the time I log on this evening.

I have never seen a red con Afrit. They have all be purple. Master or not. Elementals are either oj or red to my 50, and every single afrit I have ever seen is purple.

Where are you finding the red con ones?

All the Afrits that I used to kill used to be red con.. I dunno what happened, left for a while, resubbed for a while and now they are all purple con. Well maybe its just so that people don't see that they are red and think they can kill them, that would be kind of annoying.

There was a patch a while back where (medium) Afrits were made tougher (higher level). Another change was that magic damage can trigger a mob's defensive procs. It used to be that only melee hits would do this.

I've been using the gorgon maidens with the bot grouped and have had better luck. Makes a world of difference when your pet doesn't drop charm. Even if the Maidens are only level 50, as long as you keep an eye on their health they work well.

I even got a Zahur's Ring from an afrit yesterday, and not a turn-in, an actual drop.

Anyone got a map or some info of decent routes to take when running afrits? I got myself a few i circled yesterday in green glades, but i wonder if thers any use going after afrits in say volcanus (close to the sallies, anyhow)

I sat there in green glades marking up on a little map where every elemental, afrit and master afrit i found, was located. But im guessing someone else might have done this before, thus perhaps able to share the love

I'm pretty sure that it depends on which realm you are on, but I could be wrong.

Typhon's Reach is the best place for Hib if you're killing both elementals and Afrits. it's hard to explain the loop, but basically from the entrance of typhon's, over to SoM, north to the bridge with Taurs, and then back. Make it kind of 'loop' shapes, so you're not taking the same path back and you'll hit quite a few Afrits. lots of people already know about this though, i'm often not the only one out, and the loop doesn't really support more than 1 person.

Also if you're running 3 accounts you don't need an ML9 pet. Just stun/nuke on one until you get agro and then switch to the other caster.

Didn't know about the aoe dd trick, will have to try that one out. And yeah, the focus myth is HUGE. They are pricey, I've seen them as low as 20-30p but usually around the 50p range.

Btw, I spent 19 plat on a Greater Focus Myth, and then realized that damage wise its the exact same as the Average Focal Mythirian, though perhaps greater leads to a few less resists. Anyways if you can't get a greater just buy an average its still quite good.
