If you have a bot, you might as well bring it along so you can carry more salvage.

Salvage in the field is optimal

That's a matter of personal preference I guess. I store my salvage in house vaults and when they are full I salvage while watching something on TV.

fyp!

When I say people, I mean characters. Enchanter, Mentalist, Bot = 3, so I stand by my original post.

i always laugh at people running around killing afrits with a bot stuck to their ass..

smiter can down the oj/red mob and two blues with out a problem.

Indeed! What's the lowest RR you think a smiter can do this consistently? Seemed to me that unless you have some passives to boost your damage and casting speed, its harder than it sounds.

not really... once you have killed the oj/red mob...

you just stun the two blue cons and nuke one down, turn to the other and nuke it down... you just want to be close enough, because they run as soon as they spawn and if u kill the mob at max range and they run away from you you cant get them both... so as you kill the mob, get closer before you get in final nuke and than target blue, stun.. target next blue stun/smite, turn back to first one and nuke down...

because they are blue, you are going to do decent damage to them being low rr, and to help on the oj/red wear a focal myth for less chance of resists.

ive been farming afrits in typhon's reach, (best loop) and usually have 5 reforming orbs and a couple hundred arcanium bars in 20 odd minutes... usually drop all rog cloth/remains/other slots and only keep the metal salvage and expensive stuff like zahur bracer/rings bracer of snows...

ive seen a cabby and bot take a master afrit by cystral titan and ml9 pet taking the red mobs etc.. also seen a sorc do it with a sally pet.

The other thing is, I don't know how much it is worth it to farm these guys anymore, since dragon gear is quite cheap on all realms. Zahur's ring is always very rare and you could potentially find one of these from the Afrits. But.. I don't think the updated ML10 stuff can drop from the Afrits? Or can they? Cuz if they can then I better get out there.

ML10 stuff wont drop from Afrits. And while there aren't really any major expensive items to be farmed from them or at least none that I can think of, you can still make decent plats by putting it on merchant, salvaging etc. especially if you are new to the realm and are stuck finding ways to make some money.

On alb.. master afrit is very easy to do with bot+ML9 sorc with a sally pet. They are also doable with ML9 cabby+friar, but it's more hassle.

For storage issues, don't forget that if you are Champion Level 10, you can buy a Vault Summoning stone from an NPC in the Kings' throne room. Get one for each of your toons and then when your backpacks are full (after salvaging useless items), summon a Personal Vault from ONE toon and have each toon throw all the loot in there to empty your packpacks.

With a 60 minute recast timer on the Personal Vault Summoning Stone, you can do this every 30 minutes on a duo, just in time to have a full packpack!

and if you're even smarter you'd bring a long a minstrel bot to aid your smite cleric.
