Nope, my post is based on the fact that "hardcore 8v8'rs", you know, the people who won't leave the portal keep without having 8 people, 2 healers, a mezzer, and everyone in a vent, are probably only 5-10% of the playerbase. Balancing the game only by 8v8 would be stupid at best.
and the game isnt balanced around 8v8 either, at least not the elitist 8v8, its balanced around REALMS.... wich is why each realm have pretty much the same abilities, those abilities are just on difrent classes

Wow. If I didnt know those names I don't think I could have believed such damage was possible.
That challanges everything I know about how thane damage is calculated and gives me some awsome ideas.
2.5 million rps on my thane and i am truely taken back. That is impressive to say the least.

And the thane that killed a shaman.. whoa really you killed a caster? a thane should wipe any caster with purge up. were talking about melee fights.

None of those people was a shaman. Melee is far worse than stormcalling for a thane, and no one good specs it for melee...

Ok, so I tested wp9/mom9, bolstering insightful, and a keep lord acuity pot. 270 piety total. No relics.
Debuff Nuking, I still didnt quite get to those numbers without relics. And I had no RA points left for anything.
So I guess most of those screenies are with 10-20% relic bonus. In that case its not as impressive. The 888 hit seems to an outlier statisticly considering others between 3's and 5's but wierd shit happens in games.
All said and tested, I think thats not enough for the RA point sacrifice, No CC, subpar melee, and very limited survivability. Thanes still need a bump.

My point wasn't to show a duel between a thane and a shaman, but to show that thanes actually can do good dmg.
And shamans generally have higher than average survivability.

Yes sorry ment aug acuity9, not wp.
All toa's capped. Those #'s are only acheived with r10+, full casting everything and some relics.
But with only 30-40 RA's spent and no relic advantage, the nukes feel more like NS baseline or a rr1 supp runie.
