Ok, great for along time now, I thought it was something wrong with my game system. I noticed that it happens in all 3 realms, but affects only certain race/classes that I have been playing, on id it's my alf spirit master, who has problems keeping up with the group, even with sprint up and a fresh invig pot going. It gets to the point where the group has to constantly loop back to let me catch up. This does not happen on my Norse runemaster. It happens in albion also, but it's not as noticeable, for some reason.

I figured it was my computer system, so I kept making changes, trying to come up with different items to swap out (ie ram, power supply, graphic's card, and such...) even swapped out Operating systems to see if that would make a difference, but nothing I tried work...then decided it must be my imagination, and let it go at that, until I came across this post about the same problems that others have been having with game speed.........

thanks for letting me know I was not losing my marbles....just the rest of my dusty mind, which I can live with....hehe

Molvik skald speed + sprint seems to be in and out, and others are catching up with me. Seems the new patch has created more problems than fixes...yay mythic

Neither of those statements are correct with Daoc. Maybe you should actually play the game instead of just commenting on things you know nothing about.

On day 1 you didn't zone to enter the rvr area. There was no pve speed difference. Out of combat vs in combat speed is the same as well. The only time you run faster out of combat is if your speed buff (bard speed/caster speed/etc - which only works out of combat) kicks in. They added a pve zone run speed increase a couple of years ago, no where near day 1.

The problem they are experiencing seems to be with lag. I believe there were some things changed to help with lag(ghosting, lag casting) in this patch which probably inadvertently causes this problem.

Dude while you are in the BGs or NF your travel speed is slower than it is in a PvE area.
When you are in combat your travel speed is slower also. This has always been.

Idealist,

There is a problem since patch where players are running at different speeds overall in PvE and RvR. Certain players (not classes they play) are plagued by it and I'm one of them. I can be on any character, on either realm and I'm running slower than my group. Has nothing to do with the speed bonus between PvE and RvR in this convo, it's the speed bug where some players going speed 6.5 instead of 6.. or some players going speed 5.5 instead of 6. It's uneven.

My rig is:

MSI P67A-G43
i7-2600k (Overlclocked to 4.4 ghz)
16 GB DDR3 Vengeance ram

HAH! This is wrong on so many levels it's just sad. Before you take such a condescending tone, you might want to re-check your facts.

Never mind the current issues, the fact is the run-speed differences in PvE Zones were added WAY after release. The second one is plain false for RvR zones, unless of course you have a speed buff up.

BZZT! You're 0 for 2 on facts there buckaroo, 3 if we count the fact that this post was obviously aimed to current issues.

intel core i5 2500k
GIGABYTE GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68
8 gigs of DDR3
EVGA GTX 460 SC

Having same issues on every character I play.
This problem began with the new patches.

All characters are moving MUCH slower than everyone else, even with speed and sprint.
Play on Hibernia.

My pc specs are the following:

3.3mhz i5 Quad Sandybridge
8GB DDR1600mhz cas 7
SLI 1GB nvidia 460 graphics cards (plural)
Raid 0 90gb HD setup, boots within 13seconds

Its not my pc lagging, I assure you, Id rather say the game is over correcting for a faster pc would sound more in line.

i dont think the game is over correcting for a fast pc. i get this bug also and i have:

sempron 1.8 gig
2gigs ram
512mb nvidia on a pci slot (not pci-e)

never had issues until patch, could even dual log and drag a bot around until this.

Could the Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs have something to do with this problem?

Not hardware based at all. It's a problem with the patch, and it's rather sad a major thing like this hasn't been fixed in a week. Oh well, wouldn't expect anything any time soon.

i7 920 @ 4.2GHz
Asus P6T
Corsair Dominator GT 1600MHz 6GB
EVGA GTX 470SC SLI @ 800/1600/1700
