Are just silly now that the farmers are gone, 100p+ for weapons is a joke

Here's where the problem lies...

ML10 isn't a quick thing to throw together and due to the way the loot system works, it's all too easy for leaders to vanish with the gear and nothing can be done about. Upon appealing them each player is told it's their own fault for trusting the leader basically (inorite!)

I'm at a point where I refuse to buy plat, I hate PVE but I was willing to stick out a few raids in hope of getting some weapons or plat from it but it's rare for hib (idk bout alb/mid) to actually run ML10 anymore

Either way I can't obtain what I need

Lets face it, who wants to sign up for hours of PVE when theres a chance someone will run off with everything~

It's about time that Astral weapons/armor were bought with some form of glass/scales currency just like the arties/dragon gear can be

if they should be looking at anything it should be the DPS of spell pierce and spamming Lifebane poison. when assassins only need to spec 30ish points in envenom. you shouldnt be able to get that much DPS when only speccing that little.


take away composite Envenom.

big raids just aren't fun and aren't in the spirit of daoc.

daoc is a single player game wrapped into an mmo whose brilliance over EQ was that a player always had a choice of playing alone or grouped to advance. Since advancement in pve is 100% about gear nowadays that contract keeps getting broken in favor of the big epic raid motif. Going all the way back to DF's introduction the "seal" economy has proven better than the "epic encounter" mentality.

And each time it happens that gear that is limited by encounters requiring than a group it angers and annoys people and promotes exploits and bad behavior and all the crap that we'd be better off without.
