wtf, we were all new players at one point, and we didnt get the luxuries all the new players have now.
we learned how to play by word of mouth mostly and had to earn all of this stuff. what makes the new crowd so special that they dont have to take the time to pay attention?
you get a 14 day free trial. figure the sh_t out.
if your not impressed, go back to WoW where everything is handed to you.
Apparently people playing WoW dont have to learn or earn anything.
The game might be on "life support", but when it comes to people wanting to be told how to do everything more than what information is offered(except technical things which can be found via google 99% of the time), then most of the people I play with would rather u didnt continue your sub anyway.
Im not trying to be a jerk, (even tho im pretty sure im succeeding) but there are too many complaints about trivial things.
If you dont like the game, dont play it.

apologies for any bad grammar.

we had the luxury of a community that all wanted to exp/rvr together.
we had the luxury of a community that helped each other and was excited and optimistic.
we had the luxury of a community that banded together and conquered the new content every time it was added.
we had the luxury (some of us) of being the first or near the first in the door and didn't have 90% of the player base way ahead of us.

go play in traffic kid.

so the answer is: hand everyone everything from the start so theres nothing left to have to work toward or earn?
ive played this game for a long time, its always been fun even to solo, everythings been made so easy, its sickening to still hear people complain about how it can be made easier.
all that content is still there to explore, new people, just choose not to since we were given new user journey and a lvl 50 in 2 days or less with decent gear and coin by the end.
yet everytime something is given to us, theres always something that needs to be fixed to made easier.
90% of the player base being ahead of people who just started is just part of any mmo. those 90% already give enough answers to help newer or even older players.
just because you dont get an answer for a question you might have at a specific time, doesnt mean people dont help. you want an answer or help with info? alt+tab and google.
its not that difficult.
and the community excuse is pretty flimsy, the first day on mid my whole guild got into an alliance that do raids all the time and are very helpful.
so there are still people that are helpful.dont run your mouth about luxuries we dont have when the luxuries we do have out outweigh them by so much already.
over 11k posts and u still dont have a clue.
a true VN gangsta.

Only reason I'm for a "base" speed increase is the excessive size of new frontiers. Fights are usually concentrated in small areas yet you spend tons of time getting to the fight only to die in seconds. Each realm's frontier zone should be reduced by 50% in size

I just reactivated - been playing for a week or so and I do agree with op to some degree. I am annoyed at having to redo my temp - if the game had a way for me to temp up to actually be competitive it would be great. My toons are all lvl 50 and not sure if the bg bp items are good enough. I just want to get on and go. I don't care about any other crap but this. Anyways not like mythic going to listen to this thread

If this would be enough to make someone rage quit and not play again, good riddance. They would have been the same type that quit after first wipe, let WoW have those type of players.

Yes, the bounty point gems that give you speed were a very nice addition with 20 charges and I am happy they are in place.

1 extra realm skill point into LW1 will certainly destroy your class however.

On a somewhat unrelated note. If I were given the ability to redesign some classes, I would only distribute speed5 to purely support (healer/buffer) type classes. Ie. all support classes except I guess Friar and Warden (since they can fend for themselves. Because IMO speed5 fits inline with support classes who are useless on their own, but can only do harm when they support the rest of the group they are a part of. So I'm not actually suggesting they implement this, rather I think that in theory, if there were to be a mirror ability between realms it should be that they each realm has two different speed/buff/heal/CC classes, who differ in their ability to buff/heal/CC, but all have speed5.

Give speed to an alb healer? bahh... ive never...

Like I said I wouldn't do this in the current state of the game. But in theory if I could do a class redesign of all realms I would keep many things very similar, including most of all the differences between the realms, but I would give speed to essentially any support class who could not fend for themselves, but rely purely on others to kill anything else.

They already gave everyone a free LW1 in the form of Tireless. That allowed perma sprint with End 4 instead of having to have End 5.
