In all honesty, I had more fun in Arathi Basin than I'm having in endgame DAoC new frontiers. Just logged off another night of DAoC and literally found no group. I followed a mini-zerg around for approximately 98 minutes and earned about 3.5k RPs spamming the nearest enemy target keybinding and lifetap at keeps because enemies died super fast.

i followed a zerg around solo on a wizzy for 30 minutes and got almost 18k rps... i suggest you get off the tab target and pick the casters not getting hit

The same reasons I quit 5+ years ago:

It's almost impossible to find a group unless you have a very specific class. Right now I have a few level 49.5 toons and a level 50 BD. I really enjoyed the BD in the battlegrounds, but once I hit 50 two days ago, he literally got no group in the frontiers. Blame the "casual" players who decided to start excluding people from groups.

IMHO I would say it's the casual players who ever grouped me when I was looking for groups. The hardcore players always grouped their small circle of friends and wanted specific classes that I may not have been playing. The casual pugs are the ones I usually got into.

Because of the above, I started playing stealthers a long time ago. There is nothing lame about playing a stealther. In fact soloing, duoing or small groups can be a lot of fun and those players usually will group with you and help you out.

YMMV

First of all you are a noob. I'm not trying to insult you just stating a point. It takes some time and experience to realize why this game is good, and why lots of the things you complain about are not actually bad for the game.

Actually I think it's the noobs everywhere that should be the ones insulted. This guy has had several years to learn the game at a time when the game is pretty much set and few big changes have happened. Compare the evolution of the game from 2002-2005 to his 2008 to now.

At some point you gotta separate the wheat from the chaff.

Should have used the BD to farm plats at least... I'm confused I thought you decided to quit?

You will run into the same problems with the SM, you need to learn a class. FYI there are 80 slots for toons now with the ywain cluster, you could have left the BD. Learn to pick targets, nearest enemy is a crutch. Learn what RA's your class uses best. If the BD had TWF and wasn't supp specced, you might have had more success.

So far my only complaint with the SM class is knowing when I hit quickcast. Since I'm not on the fastest internet connection in the world, I often hit it twice..... meaning it cancels out.

Wish there was a way to prevent cancelling of quickcast. It already shuts of quickly on it's own when not used. Or possibly give it a funky sound effect so you KNOW it's activated. I hate having to look at my combat log just to see if it's activated.

My first set of RAs at level 50 will be purge on a ten minute timer and mastery of concentration (at least 50%). Wildpower will be my third choice, but right now I am working on interruption control. I can already envision a stealther in my face purging the AoE mezz, forcing me to stand there helpless till I die :-(
