Why I decided to quit after 2 months. |

The same reasons I quit 5+ years ago:
1.
It's almost impossible to find a group unless you have a very specific class. Right now I have a few level 49.5 toons and a level 50 BD. I really enjoyed the BD in the battlegrounds, but once I hit 50 two days ago, he literally got no group in the frontiers.
2.
Since I can never find a group, I decided to hit SHIFT-M and run to the little fire action on the realm map. When the fire is in my realm it's not so bad. Once in awhile I'll attack a few albs, die, and get some RPS. I never really killed anyone as of yet. I feel more like a leech than a contributor. Normally I'd get off one or two spells, die, then rezz at the gate and wait for the few hundred Rps to role in. I never lived long enough to get the Rps at the point of engagement. When the fire action is in another realm, I cringe in disgust. The 5 to 10 minute ride (this includes getting buffs and summoning pets) to get to my destination only to die in a few seconds is not my idea of time well spent.
3.
Stun mechanics. I don't mind mezz, but casted stun is just way over the top. Almost all my deaths occurred during a stun in which I could not even get an insta spell off. My resists are probably a tad low at 28 to 48%.
4.
New frontiers is simply too big for the current population. I'm not sure if it's possible for them to shrink each realm's NF area by 50%.
5.
This next complaint is more of a class issue with the BD. Why do the pets have to stand still to cast buffs? They always get left behind during the buff process, and to make matters worse, a few of the buffs are on 10 minute timers. And what's up with the uninspired BD realm abilities?
6.
Casters that nuke faster than I can say “WoW.†Yea, a lame attempt at WoW humor, but the fact remains... casters are a bit out of whack even with decent resists.
7.
Seems like more people pvp in the labyrinth than NF. I'm assuming this is where all the players who can't find a group go to solo for action because NF is so big and not worth traveling. Can you solo players give me a hint where to go (other than labby) when I don't find a group?
I'm sure there are a few other things I can post. I know the game is old and it will probably never receive serious updates ever again.

Why do you want suggestions if you're quitting?
I don't know that NF is too big for the current population. I would guess that it makes it a lot easier to solo and find soloers this way even though I myself have only gone there for PvE (and got killed by RR12 duo while engaging liches).

Casters are out of control, yes. Debuffs and spell pierce ToA stat need to be revamped, or made "PVE only".
Bonedancers should have no problem finding a group.
Bedazzling Aura (BAOD) is only available to two Midgard classes, BD's and SM's. It's god-mode for 30 seconds every 10 minutes. With BAOD 5, and Aug Shaman red resists, your entire group becomes magic immune, or close to it.
Bonedancers fit well in caster groups, and charge tank groups, because of this crucial RA.
Thornweed Field is also another nice RA, it interrupts an entire group of casters, or cuts off their line of retreat if being extended.
Allure of Death is one of the better RR5 skills, as it makes you near immune to Stun, Mez, Root, Snare, and Nearsight for 60 seconds.
So, not sure what you mean by uninspired RA's, considering BD's have two of the best group RVR abilities... but I'm sure you aren't spec'd for them, and probably haven't even tried them.
I'm also curious, whats your class spec?

I'm asking for suggestions because my account doesn't expire for another two weeks. So I can still log on and /pray it's just an off day for pvp in the frontiers. Maybe things are better on different days.

I have school right now so I can't type more but I wish you'd stay simply because the game is worth it. It just takes time to readjust. I've been back since November and I'm still "bad" (not saying you are, your problem is different) so it's not going to happen for me overnight....but I know it's the best game and there's nothing out there like it.

The pet split assist nerf two patches ago, and the body debuff fix last patch have really hurt BDs which are an interrupt class.

Warlocks also get Bedazzling Aura (BAOD). But it's not enough to justify BDs in groups, it's good but not necessary for most play styles. And no, you don't need BA for melee groups... Melee groups are already splitting to interrupt and dink so there aren't dps classes free much of the time.

WoW is great if you love coop PvE.
But as a Gladiator and Battlemaster, I have to say the PvP has been horrible and stale since the end of Burning Crusade.
DAoC has the best character development and the best functional seige combat. It has its flaws, but its great. If it were F2P, it would be a strong contender as best F2P game on the market. Alas, it has to compete for monthly subscriptions with WoW, and all of the new "Next Gen" rip-offs.. and for most people, it's one MMO subscription maximum. DAoC just has a bad business model. But yeah, I'd suggest staying.

Woops, forgot Warlocks.
I still think BAOD works good in tank groups, especially if you happen to encounter a bomb group, wink wink.
Still, even if it's not as great as I made it sound... BAOD/TWF/Juggernaught/Allure of Death are a strong set of RA's on one class. Certainly not "uninspired" or weak.
