No thats me. Congrats on killing someone trying to level. It takes much skill to kill a shaman kiting mobs solo.

If I find someone leveling and they are the same level as me, I'll kill them once (it keeps them on their toes), then I leave them alone. If they are below me in level, I mostly leave them alone.

Low RR, not lvl 49, untemped Shaman gets killed at exp spot and you feel the need to print screen load pic to pic hosting site and post the pic on the internet.... Sad.
Well he's a Hib, that's what they do, they love green.
I'm imagining your surprise, though. When I'm in your position the last thing I could imagine would be that someone would actually save the moment to disk.
Clearly, the realm you play dictates personality. And no one plays all three realms in 2012.

Zyzyg: What anytime snare are you talking about?...Your anytime style should be Polar Rift. Clearly you don't play a Shadowblade.

I remember your Shaman, we grouped you in Molvik on our Skald/Mauler duo and ran around roflzerging PvEers there. My room mates girlfriend is from Kentucky and she freaked out when she saw your name. You asked us for advice on how to get better and I told you positioning was everything and don't neglect your root.

The attitude in Camelot is that of negativity and exclusion.
" ou're not temped! You can't play with us!"
" ou're a low realm rank! Go away!"
" ou're horrible at your class, play it like X, with Y spell!"
I tend to disagree strongly. It's mostly a calculus of time/energy/fun.
Look at it from the PoV of the 7 other people.
a) If you have crappy gear and die real easy you just wasted their time. It can take quite awhile to just get a mediocre group together. And everyone has their own thresholds of how long they are willing to wait vs just go with lesser stuff.
b) Very very few people care about realm rank.
c) If you play terribly, again, it can kill your whole group or delay or annoy or many other bad things, much more so than bad gear in fact. When it takes under 10 hours to go from 1-50 you have no idea if the people have the foggiest idea how to play. It's hard to group someone who you might have to rely on when it can really waste your time.
But overall what most people do wrong is that they get really defensive/whiny about it. If instead they approach it with some flexibility like 'hey I'm new' or 'hey I am willing to learn' or 'i'll do my best but if i make a mistake tell me' etc. it's really not many people who are going to exclude them.
I agree with all of this. People sometimes tend to forget that when you struggle and hold the group back, if effects everyone's fun as well. Most people don't have a problem helping people out, but being lazy and not bothering to get some form of a template or some basic understanding of what is expected of your class can really hurt the group. If the group is better off running with 7 rather than grouping you, then you have a problem.
Also, I would like to point out one additional thing that also hurts new people sometimes. The people that are playing now have been playing for years. Everyone has a set group of players that log on and they look around to pick them up. It is very rare to just make completely random pugs, because that would usually end up excluding people you have come to like and enjoy playing with. That is the case for me at least on Hib. I usually have enough people around when I log on that I don't have to worry about joining random pugs or spamming LFG. However, I have built that up over years of communication and building relationships with people.
