go through the help part help.ea.com and have EA call you and they will discuss with you about DAoC without you having to wait on hold the whole time. They called me within a couple minutes after I put in my issue.

And then tell you its mythic problem not theirs

Not really this is a subject they won't touch. They'll resolve this internally, i'm sure they're revamping the time code program so it doesn't happen again.
And i suspect that Lucky-Charmz absence from the VN boards means they're taking other actions as well.

Its not "that" hard to crack the formula used for serial keys.

The problem with this is Mythic went the route of having a collection of working keys they sold. Crack the formula and you have a vast amount of free time. This same thing happened with Diablo 2 but Blizzard was on top of it and activated anyone that was a victim of used codes.

The safer method would be the same route as all of the F2P online games do with points, serial key has to be purchased before it becomes activated to be usable.

As for Mythic going after the person who sold them... I highly highly doubt they have or will.

It's ok. They've billed dozens for each code too. LOL.

Very nice work. If this guy indeed did crack Mythic's very simple (so it seems) key code and sell time cards, then he would be a federal fugitive and would be subject to not only hacking, but interstate theft.

EA needs to find out from who bought these time cards, where they got them from, and then the FBI needs to make a visit to this person's house by finding his PayPal or other banking information. The FBI will indeed investigate this crime if more than a certain amount of money has been stolen.

This person might have sold hundreds of pass codes and may have also been using the codes for personal use (which is theft once again). He most likely sold accounts with lots of future paid time in order to get more money from the people because they won't have to pay to keep the account opened for months or years and therefore that gives the account more value.

He did indeed use time codes to boost the value of accounts he sold. http://vnboards.ign.com/general_classified/b23023/115847960/p1/?52
Both of these accounts have had time codes used to keep them open until 2015.
